weyant - try turning the motor temp cut off setting up like mentioned before. the rotor generates more heat internally than you can measure on the outside of the can. So it you set it at 190, the motor is probably only going to read 130-140 on the can. so there is room to work with. I generally set mine up at 230 or disable and measure with a temp gun.
Ultimately if your not happy with it or worried about it, send it to us and we will verify it is working as expected.

We tried resetting but the VPort isn't doing anything. No lights and it will not shut the esc down. My local hobby shop is sending it back. Thanks for the help. The big problem is we have a points race this weekend and I'm in second so far.....oh well I will just have to make it up later in the year..

I just noticed that you offered a military purchase program. Our exchange server is down right now so I cant email from our .mil account. Could I email you from my personal account with a copy of my military ID and stateside drivers license or something like that? It shouldnt be down long but we're going into a long weekend so who knows.

I start at 75-26 and work from there. I have gone as high as 29 and low as 24 depending on track and layout. Always check your temps. And see what the lap time differences are. Make sure the timing on the can is turned up to about 45*

I'm also doing some of the testing with the Pro9 and I will say that my ESC is running cooler and I'm seeing longer run times. With the longer run times, the 'drop off' comes later in the pack.

My VTX8 has been stellar since I've owned it. I just took third place behind a couple of sponsored stud muffins in 4x4 short course with an SCTE 1.0 and a 4000kV Tekin Pro4. I have not changed anything on the ESC since my very first programming. It's been smooth and pretty much flawless.
