Had a good race night tonight and wanted to thank everyone who helped me get my buggy geared and speed control setup. I ended up turning the timing up alittle more for the main. Best night racing out of the 3 or 4 months I have raced.

Hi, could you tell me if the capacitors are wired in series or parallel, if it's not a secret????
I'm thinking of making pack by myself.

Thanks

Got a gearing question for on-road!!! Running a Viper 21.5 w/ a VTX10-BE in a 3Racing FGX F1 on carpet. Would should I start w/ for gearing in a 5 min fastest 5 lap count??? Also what would be a good gear for a 15 min main w/ a pit stop??? Running a 4200mah shorty pack 60C

Poland- it's more than just caps. There is a circuit board involved.

spider- those are some different race conditions then we have races under previously. If it only a 5 best lap, you can gear up more than normal. But for the 15 minutes may need to go down. The way we geared at IIC and snowbirds generated some good heat. Wouldn't run 15 min.

wanted to let you know I got the boys sc10 2wd to the track today for prac before the race tonight. He ran in 10 min with no temp shut down. 175 temp.....then we made a few shock and ride height changes and ran again for another 10 min temps maxed at 175 to 178....I was happy that it didn't shut down at 7 min our mains are 8 min but if your fast like my son he gets 820 normally cause he gets that extra lap lol...so with 10 min run we should be good....we changed the hz to throttle 12000 and brake to 8000..and took the punch down to 60% and the motor temp cutoff to 230.. that's why we had to change the ride height and shocks...it didn't want to clear the one jump as well ..but with the setup changes its good now. the esc temp are great 120 at there highest point..track was dry but fast..and it was very hot out today.. Thanks for all your help on this prob

I've been told and read that you do not want to use reverse with a 2 pole motor/esc setup. Seems like it was something about heat but I'll defer to those way more knowledgeable than I.

Found out today that the sensor cable keepers fit the Viper 1:8 motors too.

What motor would you suggest for a lcg slash 4x4 I am using a vtx8 and pro4 4000kv. I got the smallest pinion you can put in there. 10/11 maybe. And pretty sure I smoked my motor that motor just sucks trying to push a sct around. I ran like 10 minutes and my motor came off at 260 lol. Punch and everything at 0.

I Put a sensorless toro 4600kv 550 in with same pinion and it doesnt break a sweat...and rips! but I want a sensored motor. ( i put hw sc8 in too) Does viper make anything? Suppose I could try a pro4 HD 550 size instead.

The viper vst l/xl look way too long to me from the specs.

I heard there was a viper 4 pole sensored motor on the way earlier, to compete with the pro4.

I would think so, make sure its in race practice, then look under the reverse tab. I forget if there is a reverse strength adjustment.

Hey Jim, that's awesome! Glad to hear that, I've got a bunch more made up.
They're up on the site.

Hi Team

I have to RMA a 2 month old VTX8. On the RMA form Viper asks that I send everything back that was in the package, and this one included the pro gauge. Do have to send this back as well? Its just I have another VTX8 on its way but it is without the progauge.

Thanks

Brett
