ryan - fan-- maybe, not necessary, but if running outside in high heat, every little bit helps. I don't know if if would let you gear up. But it should give you a extra sense of comfort.

I stopped my truck on a decline and it started rolling, but because it was rolling i couldn't reverse and the front end went into water for about 4-5sec.
I am letting the truck dry out for a day or two but I am worried it will continue to have electrical issues. When I hold down the start button on the v-port it runs, but as soon as i release it, it shuts off as if there is something permanently damaged. This speed control is supposed to be waterproof so I am pretty annoyed that it is having these issues (even the fan is still working fine).
Given my description, do you have any guesses as to what the issue might be or what I can do to fix/diagnose the issue?

Which speed control are you using? The VTX10 (original orange) series is fully epoxy sealed and considered waterproof. Copperhead and Black Edition do have epoxy in them but are considered water resisent not water proof.
Water and electricity don't mix no matter how much you try. Some things to check would also be different receiver and batter as water can also effect them. Put anything that has been in water in a bowl and cover it with rice for a day or so to see if the rice absorbs any water.

Whats a good starting point for 10.5 on a low to med bite track. I am starting with profile 2, 70% punch, 12000 throttle pwm, dynamic brake disabled an the rest is stock settings. I am looking to soften the bottom a little so I can get the power down and not wheel spin. I also realize my trigger figure is a large part of it, lol.

hmm, really? I know 8 is 60%. It could be. I might have messed with it a while back. A reset to defaults would be a cool PG feature. I know you can do it on the PC and I might tonight, lol.
