rule of thumb, don't ever suggest boost until you know all the settings.... if he has something off and throws boost on, then he cooks something, he isn't gonna be happy LOL.

I agree, boost will work wonders, BUT you can't perform surgery without triage.... need all the details before cutting in

Ok, so PM me the settings and also let me know what the esc and motor temps were when you ran it. Only taking a guess at a gear ratio from the other side of the world.

There is not a reverse motor setting in the vtx1. If you are running the mid motor set up you need to run the 4 gear transmission, that will spin the correct way. That's how I do it with my X Factory!!!

I just have it set on profile 2. But even though my motor is a bit slower I'm still winning so don't worry. Also is this ok for temps 60c for esc 75-80c motor?

DEX210 kits come with parts for 3- and 4- gear transmissions for both RM and MM configurations. Not sure about the RTR version.

Are you having issues with 3-gear RM? Or did you buy the MM bits and convert to a 3-gear MM? AFAIK you should only have this issue with 4-gear RM and 3-gear MM.

To be honest, unless you are running on manicured grass, carpet, or super high bite blue groove, the rear motor configuration is probably going to be better anyway.

actually someone at my track though it was a brilliant idea to cover our ramps with that no slip floor protector tape stuff and it rips through plastic like hot butter. I ran it for like 2 minutes with the stock stuff and already it looks like it wont take long to eat the plastic motor guard. Thats the only reason I wanted to change it honestly, it just grinds across and makes for some really crappy jumping
It is a carpet track as well so i wanted I try it.

Oh and the rtr came with the parts to convert to MM but it did not come with extra gears to do it. Oh well I will just 3 gear it and see what happens.

going to bed now, but any known issues between VTX8 and the tenshock 411 4 pole 550 motors?
have a hobby wing sct pro and it worked fine, but set it up on the VTX8 and it wont move. double checked radio calibration and swapped sensor wires but it will not move the motor and all. Have not tried a different motor as its 1115 here and I get up at 515am so......I'll chk back in the morn, thanks

Right profile number 4 I believe is for 4 pole motor
