received my 13.5 vst motor today. I really like the build quality, top notch!!
I bet they will habd with any high-end motor on the market. I put it in my cougar for now since the cat is out of commission. Ill be running it on an older lrp sphere with no timing control or boost features.

Weylin what do you think for gearing? Should I leave it as is? or go up/down a tooth? without any boost control or timing in my esc can I advance the timing on the can? recommendations????
Thanks again!!!!

Hey guys sorry I've been a little inactive the last few days. Crazy busy weekend and the beginning of this week is constant Vtrax10 esc testing It's going awesome! I took some video today and will be putting up some running video as well as setup and programming how-to videos. I'll get back to everyone in the next couple days.

vypr - Lookin good!!! Our motors are smooth and torquey, so they usually like a tooth or two taller than whichever previous motor you've been running. You should be clear to crank the timing on the motor, too. Keep an eye on temps but there shouldn't be significant heat issues in an offroad 13.5. Run it at default 30º first, I think you'll find it will be plenty fast

Guys, I put some laps in my 13.5 in my TQ 2wd over the weekend, temps were little lower than with my old motors - could have geared up. Motor was nice and strong - just as advertised smooth but with great pull. Nice and solid!! Can't wait to get a chance to "tinker" with it a little bit, spent the day on chassis stuff so I didn't want to change the motor to be consistent.

The 1/10 VST motors are 2 pole, 3 slot.

Looks like a very nice motor. Just wondering how the 8.5 with 4000kv might compare to say a ballistic 8.5 with 5000kv on the track?

Esc and motors look sweet I might just have to try one of these systems. Any idea when the esc will be out?

Quick question-
I know some motors are built with mechanical timing already in them. What are these motors built with, if any, that way I can know where to start with my ESCs
