sapperc - Its a variable step, as you increase -- hence why its much harder hit once you get over 5 (I think over that just starts creating why too much heat in the esc).

Finding that boost set up is a process, but it can be very good. When you find a range that works for you.

Right, I realize its variable and increases with each step. I am asking if the value is still one additional degree of timing advance per 1000 RPM per step of slew rate, which was apparently the case as described in older versions of firmware as indicated in this link: http://www.rctech.net/forum/9888479-post3003.html

In other words, does a slew rate of 4 equal 4 additional degrees of timing advance per every 1000 RPM above the Finish RPM? If not, then what is the slew rate step formula? Thanks.

nikos2002 05-11-2013 10:38 AM

its actually an algorithm of degrees in timing per sec. The higher the rate, the more timing it adds, at a quicker rate. So if your slew rate is too high, it basically dumps all the timing in very fast, making it feel very abrupt and aggressive - but that also makes the esc work harder (more heat).

Can I run a VTX10-BE in "Blinky" Mode??? Gonna be running it in a class where I can use no boost or timing.

yes, you can profile number 1 is blinky

Can you guys help me diagnose a problem with my vtx10. When landing a jump it is restarting itself. I have tried putting 2 layers of double sided tape under it and it is still cutting out. Have you had issues like this?

Surprised it took you that long to sell out since your No:1 competitor hasn't had any for a while ;)

I had this happen once, but it never happened again. make sure you solder joints are good and that not fine strings are solder are crossing the posts on the esc. I think mine happened because one of my bullets need replacing on the battery.

bring it on 05-11-2013 03:03 PM

My Viper copperhead system ran great. I had a friend named Rocha test out a sct for me with the Viper in it. He qual'ed 4th in expert sct and finished on 3.9 sec behind the winner that was running system that cost twice as much...

Profile 2 is also blinky.... just has punch setting lower for mod motors. This is good to know in case you are running the same car in 17.5 and mod. If you forget to change modes, you won't be cheating :)

One of the guys at our track was having a similar problem. It turns out that his capacitor was damaged from not being held down. It was flopping around and when he landed hard it would shut down. After he zip tied the capacitor, the problem went away. So it could be your caps.

I had the same problem just last week. I zip tied one of my capacitor wires to hold it down in doing this hitting big jumps pulled the wire up with the bar at the solder point and was rubbing the other wire. I would also check senser wire this to could cause it to stop and start again.

I've only hit LVC a couple of times and each time it just stopped.
