Oh really? If I'm not mistaken, I think the manual says to take off the front end of the motor. Good to know if I ever switch up rotors.

Hey Weylin,Any updates on the ESC's you can share with us?:tire::tire:

We are doing intensive on-track testing with our engineer this coming week to settle down the firmware for production release of the Vtrax10 and Vtrax10R. All the final steps are coming together now. Hopefully they all go together smoothly :D

You're correct, the manual does say to remove it through the front. This is a revised method to protect the sensor board better. We will make a running change to the manual. Be careful not to damage the protective rubber gasket when removing and installing the sensor unit.

One method I like to use is remove both the front cap and plastic timing cap. I leave the sensor board in place and gently insert the rotor through the front of the motor. Then I site through the rear bearing and use a .050" wrench to align the shaft without damaging the board. Our rotor shafts are CNC machined with a small hole in both ends; they can really assist with bearing alignment.

Just ordered a 6.5T to drop into the Hyper 10TT. Should be here early next week. Cannot wait to give it a head to head vs my Orion 08 Race Spec 6.5T. Running with the RS Pro until I can get my hands on the VTrax..

UPS lady just dropped off my 10TT and Viper 8.5. Its driving me crazy that I cant dig into it and get it ready for the track this weekend, I just have too much to do. Oh well, after Tuesday I should be able to spend some quality time with it.

Not yet..

but once they are shipping A main will have some in a few days..

Get them while they are hot... Its hard for team drivers to keep them instock.

Dlewis4 02-11-2011 04:04 PM
