What is the motor limit for a VTX10-be??? Is it 6.5 or 8.5???

I'm using a vtx10r with a 550 4.5

If it's not an 'R' then it's 6.5.

6.5, but if you are going to run it, be mind full of gearing so you don't push it too much.

Drop back to a 8.5?
 

Gonna be running it in a 2wd Short Course w/ late model conversion on a big oval. 5 min quals and 6 min mains. Heavy car also.

Nikos, just received my VTX10R BE today and am amped about getting this in my T4.1. Do you have a link for the pc link software that I need for this esc? I have the pc link cable and the progauge. If this unit is as good as I'm expecting I'll be dropping money on a 2nd one for my SC10 2wd.

If you just bought it you won't need to update the software. And you can make you adjustments with a ProGauge.

got to try the 9.5 in my boys sc10 2wd. motors temps getting high 160 on the outside and I have the temp cutoff at 200 and it shuts down at 10 min of running... im running 84 23 gearing and it was run in blinky mode. would boosting it and running smaller pinion cool it down??
