What speedo and firmware are you running?

Weyant - you have to take that time into consideration. If you want to run 10 minutes, you have to consider lower gearing. Its a trade off of performance over time. Longer you run, lower your overall performance will be to keep heat down. Think of it like when they try and save fuel in Nascar, they have to slow down, to save fuel. Here we are slowing down to save heat.

TIA

Go the page on our website for your speed control,
Download the VLink program on your computer. See instructions below:

No we haven't done a video for VLink -- should be pretty straight forward, do I need to make one?

weyant- if you just bought it brand new, it should be up to date with a55.

Is there away to use reverse with a vtx10 black edition? Just curious, new Viper user, I would like to be able to turn on reverse for practice time.

DustinH 04-29-2013 04:29 AM

Yes, they have reverse ability.

Had an issue with my Viper vtx10 this weekend. It "seems" fine now, but I am curious to what would have caused it. I landed a jump and the truck just stopped. I walked off the track to try and figure out what happened and i noticed the esc was off. I powered it back up and before the post was finished, it shut off again. This happened about 4 times and then finally powered up. I checked my sensor wires and power connections and didnt see anything wrong. This was on Saturday. I ran 3 packs through it on Sunday without any issues. It was not a temp issue. The motor and esc were like 80 deg because I had only done 1.5 laps when it shut off. So what possible causes would make it keep shutting off.

If it has the A19 firmware then updating to A55 could help, but as Nikos says you have to consider the run time as well.
