will be trying out a normal vtx10 B.E in the b44.2 with a 10.5. I cant wait to see the outcome.

Kevin has it right - its has about 95% of the performance of a Pro4 motor at 1/2 the cost. The 5% you ask -- its not completely sensored (but the Pro 4 doesn't always run sensored on their system either). Thats my opinion of it.

Okay, I got my vtx10r b.e. installed and linked to my radio system and I ran it in my driveway for a minute or two. So far so good. I got it with the 7.5 motor and it is set to profile 2. It is in my caster s10b 4wd buggy. I was looking at the instructions and it said that practice mode allows all settings to be adjusted, but my timing controls are still locked out. Do I have to switch over to race open mode to try and make timing adjustments or do I need to switch profiles?

no boost in practice mode. Practice mode unlocks reverse, but block timing. you want race/open mode

Having an issue linking my VTX 10 to the computer. I have the A30 Firmware and want to update to the A55. i have followed the directions to a T I thought but it will not recognize my ESC. Any thoughts?

Never Mind. Forgot first Rule of thumb. Restart your computer if something doesn't work. Updated.

Gotya, thanks. I will say that having features locked out at times is kindof a pain, I'm used to the tekin/castle adjustability. I wish I could turn reverse on or off in each mode. I think I just need to get used to the new system and everything will work out just fine.

I can you why boosting in reverse might have issues. But yeah, when I practice without turn marshels, it is nice to have reverse to get off the pipe easily. But for racing, reverse is usually not allowed anyway. I assume they locked out the reverse on boosting because it can mess up the esc. Even with the tekin, if you turn on reverse, you cant use at low of a turn motor. So I assume lots of power and reverse dont get along.

will I took the dive into the viper world, bought some used speedos and order some from viper store also, and with some other things, wish I could have gotten some more decals but was out of stock. any ideal when they will be back in stock.

It would be nice to be able to have boost in practice mode, and be able to just cut the revs power back like other brands.

You can adjust reverse power. I,am 90 pct sure .just cant boost witu reverse

We made the decision early on not to let boost and reverse play with each other -- just way to many possibilities for issues......

Didn't know the decals were out of stock --- nice to see everyone wanting to represent!!!!! BTW, majority of the major r/c decal companies have our logos and will cut them for you, sometimes you have to ask they are not listed on every website.

VTX8 manual is not up on the website yet (if you need a soft copy PM me your email address), it will get posted when VLink is completed, and posted, when I have an update I will let you know. These software/web guys want everything perfect --- so do we!!!
