I went racing Sunday, I raced expert 2wd truck and buggy. I was running great and both cars where hooked up. I qual'ed 4th in truck 3 seconds behind TQ. That was some great qualifying today in truck. I won truck and got 3rd in buggy. Both cars I'm running Viper esc and 7.5 motors

I have the Copperhead R45 and have been happy with the power and speed in my SCTE for club racing. However, there is an odd problem with it. Sometimes when I land from a jump, the truck just stops and throttle won't work for a second. Then all of a sudden it works again. The steering continues to work properly during these "blackouts". Is this normal for this system?

There could be one of two things that cause it -- 1st, check to make sure all the motor leads have good connections to the esc, if one is loose it can cause a spike that trips the BEC or esc temp cut off. 2nd your getting a spike from the jolt the system takes on the landing. Lower punch one or two points. And I have even seen a driver who doubles or triples the servo tape under the esc to cushion it a little more.

Some have run the VTX10R and VTX10R-BE with 4-pole sensored motors, but we suggest at least looking at what the motor manufactures recommend. You will see they spec 1/8 scale ESC's for those motors. For some people they work, for some people they don't.
The VTX10 and 10R (both in Red and Black) are spec'd at 1/10th scale applications. But were not spec'd for these motors.
And though 4wd SCT is a 1/10th class, they are actually harder on ESCs and motors due to the fact you are only running 2s. 4s is much more efficient, and thus requires allot less demand.
We have seem amp draws in excess of 240 amps in 4wd SCT
