silvalis - so lets see if we can answers these. 1st - thanks for the kind words, huge congrats to those behind the scenes who did VLink, its come a long way!
1) yes, the parameters for the profies are always kept within the esc. One of the things we wanted from VLink was a way to import/export profiles, so what is why you can name a profile, save it on your computer and reload it into another esc, or email it a friend to try. Ultimately, we will have a resource of profiles you can try. Not just a set up sheet you can look at - the actual set up, you can load to your VLink.
2) I think you mean you using profile 2 (as an example) on your esc. Updated profile 1 on VLink, but when you turned your vehicle back on it was still using profile 2. That should be correct, the esc will always go back to the last profile used. But profile 1 should show the updated changes. Is changing profiles via VLink - another step you (we) need?
3) yes, only to view and help you organize files via VLink, this progauge isn't designed to do that
4)I thought there was a metric button, I will have to go look again, there have been so many different versions I have looked at.

Tobz- great system that will work in the slash. The Copperhead/VX4 system is 4 pole unsensored, lots of power, really good for 4x4 SC - we used the Slash 4x4 through our testing program to bring you the Copperhead we sell today, we even want to sell it with Traxxas plugs, but they don't seem to want to sell them to us (working on it). Great buy, easy to work with and set up. Deans plugs installed for batteries and bullet connectors for the motor - installs in minutes. Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks, Your reply may be a little bias, but how would this motor compare to this tenshock http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...m-Shaft-4600kV
Scooting around the rcshortcourse forums they mention that around the 4600kv mark, things start to break, is 5150 to high? Or it won't be a huge difference?

2) I would like to see an option to set the running profile in VLink, just to eliminate having to plug the progauge back in to switch profiles or manually switch it via the button.
4) I'll have a closer look. Maybe I missed it too.

Took home a 3rd this weekend behind a couple of HotBodies team drivers. Those guys are running the really expensive stuff, and mine is right there with them. You can't beat this system.
The 5150 is probably overkill for racing, but I can't imagine what it would do for some good old fashioned bashin!!!

Tobz - similar KV. The one you pointed out costs $149.99 for the motor. Our Copperhead/VX4 system costs $149.99 for both motor and speed control. Similar performance, smoothest unsensored system you'll ever try. Be competitive with people spending twice as much.
silvalis - there is not an option to switch to Celsius. We will look into the profile change option.
Panic - they are due into our office this this week, then they will be distributed.

Bro, in all honesty, if you're racing and you want a great motor/esc combo, and be on the podium with it, the Copperhead/4500kv combo is all you need. I run on a few different tracks, from BIG 1/8scale outdoor rough loamy, to really tight technical indoor super smooth clay tracks. This setup is all that I need to compete and get on the podium every weekend.

As long as the power isn't so rediculous that i'm going to be stripping wheels and braking stuff every couple of lipo packs.

Tobz, my friend runs the 4500 in his slash 4x4. No issues the thing rips.
We both bought the first production run versions and both died in the first pack but they got that taken care of now. Since getting my new and improved one I have zero issues with the 4500 in my heavy old Losi SCTE. It keeps up with the tekin stuff at the track when I was goofing around.
The thing rips... 2s only.
I'm pretty sure you will want to gear down your pinion for sure on your slash. I forgot what my friend is using. ( Edit he is running 14/54 )
Question to Viper:
I liked the copperhead so much I just ordered a 17.5 VTX10R setup for my HPI Blitz what is recommended gearing? Pretty tight dusty outdoor loose track. ( For reference Im running 13/40 on my Losi SCTE with copperhead 4500 on the same track )
Edit: also does the VTX10R 17.5 combo come with wiring? or do I need to pick up some 12 gauge and solder myself?

For your Blitz, I would start with 18/88. That was the gears I ran with my Blitz and it screamed. Super fast, and will have plenty of bottom end.

Dan that gearing was with a 17.5?? I run a SC10, but the trans ratio is the same. I start at 75/26 at a new track, and go up from their depending on temps and performance - sometimes up to 28-29 if the track is long enough.
For KTM - always go by temp and performance. And if you are looking for racing speeds, don't run longer than your club race or main event would be. Because its easy to over heat a 17.5 by running too long at racing speeds.
All the product we are shipping now comes pre-wired. Can't speak if any retails have stuff on the shelf that might not be wired. We tried to wait a little bit to let everyone sell through the un-wired stuff. Thats why stuff was "out of stock" for a long time.
BTW, unless something changes Black Edition should be available through retailers next week.

One of my newly updated A55 VTX10's just died - took it out of one car, popped it into another and loaded up Vlink to reprogram profile 3 as a mod profile. Made my changes, let it start up, recalibrated it and then gave it a squirt to check it's going. Went fine for a bit, then it just shut off. Nothing. Can't start it back up, no lights.
Tried a different battery pack, still the same. Tested voltages at the bottom of the solder posts, reading 8.0V there so it's not my soldering.
Any ideas?
Also, I'll ask in here because nobody reads the viper thread in onroad. just got a new pre-soldered 10R (which I updated to A55 straight away) in a TC, connected to a nosram pure2 4.5. Using the default #6 profile Im getting a sort of pulsing at the full throttle and occasionally the ESC will reboot/initialise.
