kudus, for looking through the thread - that was a while ago. BTW, wires come pre-soldered on the VTX and Black Edition speed controls as of July 1st of this year.

More details to come, I will let you know when they have it fully loaded on the website.
Is there anywhere in the UK that I can get the PCLink? Or do I have to order from the US?

Viper has only and will only recommend that the VTX10R run on 540 and 550 2-pole motors. We have a 4 pole unsensored system - Copperhead as an alternative if others like.
Thanks. I installed my 4.5 550 Novak and everything works just fine. I will keep the RX8 with the PRO4 for my outdoor Losi.

Hot Rod Shootout qualifying update....

Huge apologies to Andrew, I wasn't even looking for his name on the heat sheet and look how he is doing:

Andrew Smolnik:
4th in 2wd Stock
10th in 2wd Stadium Truck Open
24th in 2wd Modified

Travis Amezcua:
3rd in 4wd Open Buggy -- still with fastest lap of qualifying
4th in Pro4 Open
14th in 2wd Modified Buggy

Great results - 4 A mains from 2 drivers is Awesome. Got a text tonight from Travis, he is saying everything has been worked great - and it shows.

Does the VTX line have any sort of reverse polarity protection?

No, most of the major mfg don't. Funny you ask I just had this conversation with someone else in the industry this week.

Hot Rod update - Travis is rocking in 4wd buggy. A 3rd and 4th after 2 rounds. Chance at a podium here in the last round. A2 for Pro4 coming up in minutes.

Switched my copperhead VX4.39 system from my SC10 2wd into my XXX-SCB. System runs a lot better in the buggy than it did in the truck. Dont know why but its ok. The buggy is running good now.

Hi,

I'm currently looking at replacing my valineon system in my slash 4x4 ultimate.

Currently we just bash around at mx tracks, and bash around makeshift tracks, no real racing, but it can get competitive.

Viper R/C Copperhead-R ESC & VX4R.51 4-Pole 550 Sensorless Brushless Motor combo caught my eye at amain, but i'm having a hard time finding another fellow slash 4x4 user to find any feedback from.

The http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...r-Combo-5150kV

I run 2s, have tekno driveshafts and KHZ motormount.

Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated

Just updated my 2xVTX10s and a VTX1. No issues at all!

The program isn't too bad. Nice and easy to use and doesn't look silly (unlike some other software...). A few points:

1) Profiles are stored on the Vlink software rather than the ESC? While I appreciate being able to reload a computer-stored profile onto an ESC, why aren't profiles in VLink run on a per-ESC basis? So I each time I connect a different ESC, profile #2 changes to whatever is on the ESC.
2) After I 'loaded' a profile onto my ESC and hit the 'update ESC' button, it wasn't applied as the operating profile/left on profile #1. Really? I had to change profiles using the progauge to the profile I just loaded.
3) I guess "rename profile" is just for my reference on the computer rather than what the progauge will see.
4) Can we get temperature in metric C too? :P

Tobz- great system that will work in the slash. The Copperhead/VX4 system is 4 pole unsensored, lots of power, really good for 4x4 SC - we used the Slash 4x4 through our testing program to bring you the Copperhead we sell today, we even want to sell it with Traxxas plugs, but they don't seem to want to sell them to us (working on it). Great buy, easy to work with and set up. Deans plugs installed for batteries and bullet connectors for the motor - installs in minutes. Please let us know if you have more questions.
