Ran my vx4r esc again last night paired w a tenshock sc401 since im waiting on a replacement 5150 motor. Esc worked well again 2nd nite running it. Just cant seem to make 8 min main w this setup in my scte. Took all timing out, dropped to a 14t pinion and ran 6000 nano lipo. Cutoff at 7.5 mins.....is there a way to turn the lvc totally off. When i borrowed a programmer i didnt see a setting to turn it off......

Went racing Friday night. I ran my 2wd sc I qual'ed 2nd with the 10.5 in open 2wd sc and took 1st in the main. For round 2 i put in a 6.5. This was my 1st race with the 6.5 non boosted motor instead of the 10.5 boosted. So far I'm really liking the power. I was so far a head of 2nd place in the main they dared me to wait up so i did and let them pass me and then went back around for the win. LOL Fun night of club racing.

Are your diffs all moving smoothly?
( also don't know your motor and I'm a noob : ) )
Well the only way can think of to turn LVC off is to run profile 1 which is the NiMah profile I think. I would never do that myself though. The programmer lets you turn it down to 3.0v I havn't messed with it though.

Late night update from Motorama. Busy day of qualifying - literally -4wd SC ended just a little while ago. While the official postings are not done yet. Huge thanks to Gabriel Galeano and Steve Downs for waving the Viper flags!! Steve is an on road racer by background, borrowed a 4wd SC and a Copperhead system and has been towards the top of the field. Gsnriel overcame an issue in round 2 to drive a great result in Round 3 (he is using the standard VTX10R/4.5XL set up.
Both me and Stee have been running the Copperheads all weekend, with plenty of speed, run time and power. In fact we switched because I could handle the 51 and we hoped Steve would do better with it.
Also on the 'clay' track we are seeing success. Mark Smyka is qualified 3rd in 17.5 Buggy and 2nd in 17.5 stadium truck (I am 6th!). Paul Sinclair is 11th in 2wd Modified and was on a pace to easily be in the A Main on 2 different runs. Paul is also running 2wd Mod SC and is knocking on the door of the A Main! Toddie Anderson was 14th in Modified Truck.
A big shout out to team driver Neil Pestka who is hear trying to race, but really helping Scotty Ernst at the track to help keep the show rolling.
Sorry if I missed anyone's good results. I think we have some customers doing well in 17.5 SC- at least I was asked to help tech that their speedo was in blinks mode after a good heat race.

well i got my brand new FT sc10 and viper vtx10/10.5 combo friday and had it built in 6 hrs and raced it saturday. made two personal bests. 23 lap run and qualified 3rd for the a-main. had a not so good start and fell to the back but worked my way back to 3rd. the proguage was super easy to work with. the 10.5 was very smooth. i had a castle sidewinder with a 3800 4-pole. the viper is so much better than the castle.

just got my shiny new viper 8.5t in my sc10 today. ran it with the manuals suggested 17/84. after 10 minutes on the track it was 108* but felt slow.. how much higher on gearing could I go before I start running into heat problems? I was considering throwing my 81t spur back in but is that too big of a jump?
