Viper RC -
JJ - I would suggest to set EPA at 100%, do the calibration again. It would work different if calibrated at 70% and then turned up. Would also suggest to turn Brake Strength up 90-95-100, the default is 80 from the software.
I am shopping around for something to run at cactus in 17.5. My current motor, wont be allowed as it is based on the d3.5. Since I run MM 17.5, I want motor with a lot of lower end power for cool temps. I am a bit concerned about the small rotor in this new 17.5 from Viper. I know you have tuning rotors, but I would really like to keep cost lower if possible. Do you have pictures of the rotors you use? I am curious about something.

To guess at your next question -- no I haven't found a rotor from another brand that fits in it directly. One was OK, with a lot of spacers, but it didn't run as well as the correct rotor.
We haven't posted the official information (or pictures) of the BE rotors yet. What I can tell you is that there will 3 different 12.5 option rotors available with to tune for various options of rpm and/or torque. Team drivers have been testing the rotors in everything from TC to SC offroad, and have seen that there are different options for different types of cars and tracks.

Thanks for the info on my profile info. The motor should be more than enough for what it is, heck the new FOXX vehicles are based on the same design and look to use something that looks like a glorified SCT motor.
The new 17.5 is very good. For a buggy the standard 12.3mm rotor is acceptable, but it really does benefit from the 12.5mm mid RPM/mid torque rotor (purple rotor). For stadium truck or short course you will want the 12.5mm high torque rotor.
nikos, is it possible for viper direct to offer a "build-your-motor" option?
So basically have it so I can pick the rotor I want with the motor, and say anything else you can configure?
I remember Novak doing this and it was nice to get a motor done in that manner.

How is the new A64 software on the vtx10BE in the market for ESC and trying to decide between 3 had a vtx8 long time ago when it first came out and had no complaints
+1 on build motor options I'd be interested if they offered that as well

What settings would help slow my initial trotthle punch. On my vtx8 with a Tekin 4300 HD in a scte. I know I need to learn better control but in the mean time looking for some adjustment to help me.
