Viper RC -

Stu- there is no industry standard on how you get kv ratings. Simply things like voltage used and more complex like machine - can all make a difference. I can tell you that tests I have seen by some racers show they are all relatively close.
Medic- to really adjust the drag brake you need the pro gauge. I see RC Madness in your sig - find Mark Smyka, he will help you get set up.

SunnyB-
I am sorry your angry but I did call you back 30 minutes after our conversation . I was calling the main office to check and make sure we can do such a transaction. If I knew SunnyB was you on this forum would have just PM'd you. RMA's are taken care of in a different department that's why I had to check and make sure since I don't have the power to exchange products with one another. I was trying to help you to get a different esc so Viper equipment can satisfy your racing needs. If you still want to exchange it please let me know and I will take care of it.

Guys, this is getting kind of out of hand. Keep it clean, and keep it respectful. I'm no expert, but seems to me that maybe it is something best handled through PM's, as it looks like some of the individuals involved are attempting to do. I don't have a problem with sunnyB sharing his opinions on Viper RC, but as far as handling this specific issue via public posts on a forum, seems kind of unneeded. Take it to PM. Like I said, thanks your for sharing the fact that you have issues with Viper's CS.
BTW, I was strongly leaning towards this same system, but I think I'll hold off for a bit now.

Viper R/C was a new company when I bought the vtx10r upon its release. I was a bit skeptical, but took a chance. Still have it; got the vtx1 when it was released too. Never had a problem with either one. Love em.
