Anyone have a Final Drive Ratio I should be shooting for a Mod 1/10 Stadium Truck with a Viper 8.5 and VS10?

That would more than likely be found in the manual on the truck.

Hey, guys. I just built a TLR 22T and installed a VTX10 with an 8.5 motor. I finally made it to the track last night and I could not get any speed out of this thing!! I started in profile #1 and had the gearing at 82/22 at then stepped up to 82/26...still no speed. I then went to profile #2...no change. Then profile #3...still no speed. I then recalibarted my DX3S with the throttle EPA at 150% and still no change. I am stumped!!! Have I done something wrong in my set up? I followed the manual to the letter. I had the motor timing at 30 degrees....set from the factory. I did play with a few settings but nothing seemed to work. Do I need to bump up the PWM setting for this 8.5 motor to come alive? Right now it feels like an under geared 21.5 motor!! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

When you say no speed what exactly do you mean? Possibly the diff or slipper to lose?

The slipper and diff are set correctly......those were the first items I checked and double checked. The truck simply feels like I could not reach full throttle. Like there was a RPM limiter on the motor. The truck felt good coming out of tight corners but had zero punch and absolutely no top end. I hope that info helps you.

I am going to swap out to another motor tonight to see if that works. I'm thinking I got a motor that was bad or badged as a 8.5 and was actually a 17.5 or higher.

Yeah you probably got a bad one.did you try
Removing the pinion and see if the truck rolls free? You may have something binding.

Default What screws for Copperhead motor mounts on SCTE

I just got my Copperhead 4500 setup today. But I don't have any screws to mount the motor.

What size screws do I need? This is going on a Losi SCTE.

Yep. No binding in the truck what so ever. I'll keep at it and update this thread with my findings. Thanks!

Great night of racing
Drove to Sacramento, CA yesterday for there Thursday night big race. I got home at 3:30am There was A, B and C mains in open 2wd SC. Both my qualifiers ran great and my car was dialed with my 10.5 viper motor and esc. I quel'ed 3rd in the A main. Around the 10th lap i took over 1st place for 9 laps until a lapper hit me and made me have a 28 sec lap Most my laps where 17/18 sec. That made me go to 3rd where i finished. You can see it in my results page.

Anybody got a pic of the new Copperhead system installed in their SCTe? Trying to get an idea of size on the ESC.

I don't have a pic installed yet. I will tonight but here is a pic. Its not very big plenty of room. Way smaller than my Blur Esc ( Mamba Monster on my flux HP )

Have you guys thought about coming out with a 540 4 pole to compete with the pro4 motors? Like a 4000kv or 4600kv, maybe even sensored.
