Thecman - Thanks. It was a good weekend. I was really impressed with the dirt and tire wear. I worked with Dan on Sunday and looked over his setup. I drove his car after some changes and it was pretty good, but we had a bit more to look at. Nikos has his contact information and a history of what was occurring and what all we tried.
Nikos - No problem, that is what we are here for.

Right now the production schedule has VST L motors, VTX1 speedo, and VX4/Copperhead in the short term. Anything else is too much of a guess. And as we all know when developing products putting an exact release date out there is a hard thing to do.
We have a lot of great products right now, and more in the pipeline.

The original ideas were to have the VTX8 come in as close as possible to the size of the VTX10 series. I haven't seen any actual mock ups or additional work yet - engineers like to keep that stuff pretty secret til they are ready to show it off.

Love Viper! Great speedo and motors. Wanted to post my setup to see if any of you tech guys would tweak at all. Runs good, just trying to get a bit more. High bite kinda short track with lots of traction. 1 decent straight, pretty tight other than that. Running B4 with Vtx10 and viper 13.5. Was geared at 75/28 but just switched to 75/31. End bell timing is about 22.5 (Btwn 20 and 25) Here's settings: Temps 100-105 after 6 mins
Brake Str. 80
Brake pwm fr. 4000
curve linear
neutral Br. 11%
trig. rpm 1000
m br. str. 0%
Throttle pwm 2500hz
Thr. punch 100%
Thr. curve linear
Deadband middle
Acc Boost
Start rpm 4500rpm
Finish rpm 13,500
Max. Adv. Timing 32
Top Speed
Slew 11/1000
max adv. 15
Run mode modified
holeshot n/a
Thanks for any input!!

I have an issue with my viper 8.5 motor when i got it it seamed under powered so i switched my esc from speed passion to lrp now when I set it up theirs no power and seams to want to go in reverse i had a viper team guy look at it he said there was no issue I checked my connections my wires and changed the sensor wire still not working I know my esc is fine because it ran my epic motor fine any help would be great

spdrac430 - its always good to check all your connections, but if your other motor runs OK we need to look at some other things.
- our motors are more torque based than some others, normally I would recommend going up a tooth or two from what you were geared previously.
- Does the motor spin freely? Is it hard to turn?
- Did you do anything to adjust timing? I saw a customer turn down timing when he thought he was turning it up.
If you still are having issues after looking at those points, I would recommend going to the Viper website (www.viper-rc.com), fill out an RMA for and return it for exchange. 8.5 should be pretty quick if working correctly.
I hope that helps.
