I am currently running no advance timing in the speedo, i am sill a litle scared to start playing with that the system is good i hate to get the whole profile out of wack right now i would say the setup is about 90% of what i want i just looking fo little ways to get the last 10

The whole package has allot to offer. The beauty of having a speed control that is so tunable, is that you can make it fit you, your car, and your track.

If you have a ProGage you can change from the profile you are using, to one you are not, and make changes there. Then you can always go back. part of the beauty of having 10 different profiles available to you.

That and take some notes, document what is working, and what isn't. Just make sure you utilize the motor and esc temperature protection settings, that way if something isn't OK then you don't have to worry about it.

And to be honest, changing end-bell timing is probably the easiest way to hurt something, because you are adding timing everywhere in the powerband. Changing it in the ESC, will change it where and when you want it.

After 3 weeks of waiting I got my speedo and a 8.5 turn motor. Everything is wonderful craftsmanship except the motor is extremely tight when turned. And the sensor wire will NOT stay in the motor. It is not the wire as I tried others, and the one it came with stays in my Tekin.

Does anyone know a fix to this problem? Also anyone else experience the tightness in the motor? I've been waiting 3 weeks to get the system and am pretty upset I can not run it due to the sensor wire not staying in the motor

I always put alittle shoe goo on mine....You don't need much and it scraps off with an xacto if you need to change it or something...I was winning a main and somehow pulled mine out so now I shoe goo them all and I haven't had anymore come out since.

Explain Tightness...

Have you run the motor at all?

If there is an issue with either the motor, or the wire I would suggest contacting Viper Tech Support and they can help determine if there is a problem (866) 206-8558

Thanks for the replies! Thats a great idea with the SG! I'll probably wind up doing that in the future. But this is to the point to where there is nothing holding it in what so ever. You just push it in, and it falls out.

I have not run the motor what so ever. Just pulled out of the box, put some bearing lube on the bearings, and installed.

I contacted them yesterday on Facebook and will be shipping back today.

Great contact ability with the company though

I had a pretty decent weekend at the Fall Classic in Kansas. I ran 13.5 buggy and finished 7th in the B. I just made a few too many mistakes. I was 7th in A of mod 4wd buggy and in a small class of 2wd mod sct I got 3rd, including winning A1. I have mostly ran e8th all year, so I am pretty pleased with the results.

Thanks for that i didnt even know that i had 10 profile settings ill def. play around with that next time i am out i am done for the month now just cause of the holidays but def next month i am gonna go out on a practice night and jus play around and see what i can come up with like i said the difference i am looking for is small just want it to spool up a lil quicker out of the bottom end i am not casing jumps or out power any were it just feels a little slow getting up to speed on the staright about half way through most cars or pulling me but then at the half way point i am blowing by them and i know i am spinning the wheels the motor is just a little soft in acceleration but it has no problem with torque when it coem time to clearing jumps i actually have to becarefull or ill over shoot everything. LOL

Dude, you did pretty good this weekend! I didn't know you too were a Viper driver. There is a guy in Hutch, Dan Roth, I am sure would like to talk with you! He has gotten nowhere with the Viper Tech Support, in fact they won't even answer or return his calls! I'm not sure of his phone number but if you call the track in Hutch Kevin (aka Hacker) or Steve could get it for you. Thanks!

I shipped a motor back after a mishap and they were super fast and really nice. The have great customer service!

thecman - ask your friend to make sure he is calling the right number - 866-206-8558 or semd in a warranty form from the website - www.viper-rc.com/contact.php

It's very unlike the home office not to be available unless he calls before hours or when the staff was at the iHobby show.

rtkota- one of out team drivers - Tommy Rivera just won a big indoor carpet off road race in Enfield CT in 4wd. I will see if I can get his set up for you.

The Copperhead and VX4 combos are available ar pre-order in Amainhobbies. Also the VTX1 ESC, and the VST-L motors.
