Yes . Viper has VSE 1/8th scale motors for both buggy and truggy . The VTX8 1/8th ESC is in development and should be ready early next year

Went racing again last night with my Kyosho sc truck. We had a big turn out in open sc. I tq'ed and won. My Viper powered truck worked and performed perfect all night.

Ever wonder why your speed control (any brand) suddenly feels like it lost top speed or the brakes are weaker.....

You know your ProGauge can help you figure it out. Check it out

And will it have a "dual mode" or "smart sense" type mode?

Very cool. I just tried it. The numbers for my RB5 are more consistant and don't wonder as much as the numbers for my S10B.

RB5
1457 neutral
1970 full throttle
1070 full brake
199 Hz (solid)

s10b
1436 neutral
1966 full throttle
1106 full brake
199 Hz ( flutters a bit up and down)

From what I understand no, it's a sensored only setup but hopefully nikos can come in and verify

VST8 is still in the design stages, the criteria around it is to completely handle the rough environment of 1/8 and give outstanding smooth performance. Our VST10 series can handle everything we sell that is 540 and 550 sized we don't need it to cross over.

It is going to be a sensored system. There is a new line of 1/8 motors being designed to go with it. That being said, we are still a little ways away from testing so exact details, software, etc... Nothing is locked down yet. And I haven't used other companies systems for 1/8 to comment if there are any similar programs. We just want to make the best system we can design.

I've been testing the new Copperhead for a few weeks now. Viper is doing their homework and releasing some damn good stuff.
I'm sure the new 1/8 scale esc and motors will be absolutely over the top.

The pro-gauge itself is very handy and does some cool things.

Over all very impressed with Viper's quality, fit and finish, and CS has been spot-on.

Bringing the Copperhead to the RCPro event in Porter first of the year. Going to race with the big boys with a $150 esc and motor combo. Only thing that will hold me back is my driving. This system is for real.

Need some input on the VTX10R w/17.5

Looking for some more power, and wondering what I can do next.

Blinky mode
45° timing on VST motor, stock 12.5mm rotor
Throttle PWM 16000
Trottle Curve +EXP5
100% punch

Car is Durango 210 running 35/75. This is the biggest I can fit with the 75. Motor/Spur cover doesn't fit with this setup.

Battery is Protek 60C 2S 3800mah.

Mainly looking for more low-end punch to get over some big double double jumps at my local track (Mikes Hobby Shop, Carrollton, Tx).

Would the 12.8mm Torque suit me better or the 12.0mm RPM rotor?
Is there any other ESC settings I can change while still staying Blinky?
Would changing from 45° to 15° motor timing be better?
