Too low. Set it around 230 as The measurement is done inside motor which is much hotter than what temp gauge will read on outside of can

You can get progauge instruction sheet off the viper website. There is also a little tutorial in the forums there.

If you can't get past break - are the up and down arrows working? Make sure you are pushing the buttons squarely.

Is there any adjustments I need to make in order to run NIMH batteries with the VTX10R? Just turn off LVC?

I've had my vtx10r since release and I love it. Just ordered the vtx1; I'm pretty excited about that too!

Default Viper vtx

I bought a vtx10 brand new from A main hobbies and love it, have it in a SC10 running a 17.5 with a Airtronics radio. I put a deans on it, calibrated the radio and have been running near the front at my local track ever since. I Was super excited when I got a good deal on a used VTX10R with a 13.5 motor but I cant get it to work. Have futaba 3pm radio I am trying to bind to, I have steering but the esc beeps initially when I turn esc on and then after a few seconds beeps constantly and the lights on the on off button blink and no throttle. I tried hooking up the proguage and changing profiles, checked the epas, saw on earlier post about checking the abs function so I will check that later. I Attempted the new radio calibration set up but nothing is working. It's the same 10.5 motor and radio gear that was working with the havoc it replaced. Anybody got any ideas on whats going on?

Moore.b- that's pretty strange, normally defective units are right out of the box. Failures after that normally have external causes. But we stand behind our products. Industry leading 365 day warranty of speed controls. Normal turn around time from customer mailing us the product to customer receiving replacement is one week.

Lefty - seems like its not finding the radio info correctly. Try a different model number on the radio. Always check the basics- good solder joints, everything lined up correctly, good sensor wire, etc. The other day I built up a new new electronics, new motor. Went to give it the driveway test and it was shuddering badly. Went back and looked- B and C wires were reversed.

I have an issue with my VTX10R.

The power came loose and got ripped off while driving. Will I void the warranty if I take apart the ESC and repair this myself, or do I need to send it in?

Went out and practiced at Mike's in Dallas today, My Viper (VTX10) powered FT SC10 was absolutely ridiculous... I used the setting from Smyka, here on this thread. I was running with 13.5 powered SC's... There is a pretty big double that I couldn't get over two weeks ago while using a LRP SXX esc. But today I had to get off the throttle because I was over jumping it... Needless to say I was extremely happy with my system.

Autocratic's power plug where the Progauge plugs into ripped off at the ESC. I wish him luck either with his repair or with the warranty...
