Im wanting a 10.5 motor that has adjustable timing.
Because one track is open while the other track is not.
I notice Amain has the 10.5 Viper motors back in stock.

We try and return any warranty items as soon as possible. We have been averaging about 2 weeks from when it leaves the customers house, gets to us, is processed and shipped back to the customer.

One of the longest parts of the process is how its shipped to use. BTW, we return the shipping Priority Mail (which should be 2-3 days to anywhere in the US). Also helps when all the paperwork is in the box correctly, so make sure to read the RMA to see what is needed.

Ran the 5150 for the first time this weekend in my SC10 4x4, all i can say is what a deal 150 or so bucs and a great combo performance, smooth and powerful, great bang for the buck, my only complaint the motor thermalled on me in the main after 6min or so. the track is outdoors and med size, had it geared 14 /62 . will 12 /62 keep it from thermalling or should i just put a fan on the motor?

The Copperhead is a sensor-less system, meaning there is no sensor in the motor to shut the system down. A fan will lower the outside temp some, but not help a shut-down scenario at all, unless the motor is getting so hot that it fails.

If you are getting a temp warning on the ESC (both the F & R lights are blinking), you might actually want to try gearing up. This will lower the ESC temp (which has a sensor in it) and raise the motor temp some.

Also, try some less aggressive settings (lower punch and timing), and actually try less brake on the system. Brakes can do a good job of getting an esc hot, especially in a 4wd SCT.

Sewerdog- critters is a little track. Try the 12 maybe even 11. I ran 12 at island raceway last weekend ad my motor didn't reach fully rpm. I run between 3-5 on punch and timing depending on track conditions.

tdt - for what item? VTX series is 1 year. Copperhead 180 days. Let me know if it was something else.

sewer - there are 5 different profiles available to use without the progauge. Check out the instructions you will see they really differ from few different settings. ProGauge is a great buy, you can not only adjust your esc, but check radio modulation, test a servo and test battery. Sorry, saw Critters in your signature. I ran 13-14 at Motorama, which was really a 1/8 track with my 4x4 SC10.

No9 - does the switch show it has full power (solid red light)? If running in boost mode, make sure you start RPM is low enough. Also all the other fun things - connections good, battery chargered, sensor wires plugged all the way in.

Yes it shows full power and all the connections are fine and the battery connectors are new.

Would be interested to see what happens in those tests!!!

we are moving right along - but I know, its never fast enough when your waiting, right.....
