Hi,
What pipe are you guys using with the d3r?

I have the rd logics pipe and it has been very good but it's getting a bit too dented to the point of not being able to fix it.

I was looking for something new and wanted a few suggestions.
Thanks

I've been using Skyline VR12 Plus, very durable
don't go nova, they are weak as paper and cost like gold

anybody tried using this break-in procedure with STS engines?

http://www.cefx.net/tips/nitro/break-in/

It seems somewhat brutal compared to the procedures used on most engines in this forum. Any thoughts?

yea i did with all three of my sts engines... check rc video engine run-in im not kidding. Wide open Throttle is the best, well at least for me, to run-in yer new engine. after 3 gallons, my sts 21,28 still going strong and the best part is, its still with high compression. it idles perfectly.

turbo/nonturbo

I'm about to buy a sts motor in a couple of days.
I like both the d21b& the d21t.I like d21t more due to the material of the piston. Also the work done on the crank and sleeve. My question is,if i get
the d21t with a standard plug head button, not a turbo head, will it preform
better than the d21b.
I just dont want to deal with turbo plugs, they are expencive.

Better prices than the above site and have been around longer , know more about the engines and better yet they even sell more than just STS parts.

Just contact them via email , they stock more parts and their the East Coast Distributor for STS. Where the above site is just a dealer with a fancy webiste, in which it seems you pay more.

Also inquire about their modifieds. They seem to be quite powerful at a great price.

I loved my 3dr, bone stock and worked great at the track. had no problems running with the other mills on the track, and most of those were mod motors in some forum. found if I geared to the moon the car just sailed, lots of bottom end torqe with it. thanks for the replys guys.

Hi,
I see there's a slight difference in price, about 15$ , but the one from prohobby is stated as AI modified . What are the modifications done and who does them? Are they done by the owner himself?

Thanks
