farkin stupid sts. make the carb ball smaller than the standard size that every othe engine manufacturer does.. so when we put on standard size plastic carb ball holder, which is the same in every single car, the bloody carb link pops off. cost me a race meet and an early end to the day

wont ever use the sts again, just coz there is no place to get a smaller size ball joint to go onto the sts carb!!!!

you would think sts would of put more foresight into this

Interesting, I never use any ball stud from any of my STS engine(the ball stud still in the box) , the stock one from my cars (TTR S3 & Mugen MTX-4) seem to work perfactly. I wonder what car you have?

BTW, the mystery involve the pull start kept broken string on my D28M is solve, the problem is I was using a Ofna063 with a header that bend in the way that it touch teh pull start resulting a melt down. after I swap with a TTR pipe set. nothing have happend so far

STS is good engien with great value, LHS should carry them so people won't be scared away from this hobby the price tag of those Italian mill.

Clicking on "Search This Thread" & Entering D12EX should A: your Q:

Anyone tried the D12EX, red head, how does it compare the the D12X or the D3R?

Its a great motor. It is just like the d3r but has unmodified case and smaller heatsink, but it also has dual channel crank and 6.5mm carb.

This makes the motor illegal but you can get a 5.4mm aluminum venturi to make the motor legal. I have a friend with the d12ex and STS pipe and it sounded like a killer combo.

If your club racing you can get away with the 6.5mm carb and when you get to more serious races you can just pop on the aluminum venturi.

Let me know if your interested. I have those in stock.

What pipe and manifold combos work well with the STS .21 engines? Is the STS .21 pipe pretty decent?

Default STS d3R AI modified

I am considering purchasing another STS D3R engine. Has anyone run the AI modified version of the D3R??

What is your experience with the power and tuneability?
So, far I like the way my current STS D3R tunes and I want an engine that is as good as the base STS D3R. My idea is to give the current one to my son and purchase an AI modified D3R.

For me, the STS pipe is working better than a RB 9886 or OS 2050 on my D21E.

Exclamation Problems with sts .28

Hello guys.
I was out with my buggy yesterday, I have completed break-in and than I changed my fuel from 16%, to 25%
It's runnig very nice, it's flying, but I have a problem with a idle, it's idle is to high or something, when it goes on idle, my buggy is moving, rpm's are low but it's still moving, when I tune it not to move, I can't start it, I have to open throle more than it start's but with a very high RPM's , what can I do with that ?
This is the problem with engine or my problem is clutch ?

Thank you guys very much for your help.

Can somebody email me, it's easier for me like this [email protected]
