Hey guys hope all is well. When getting a brand new engine from the factory, is the idle gap set correctly? or should I pull the restrictor out and set it to .5-.7mm with a paper clip?

Hello, I wonder if is any special screwdriver to screw the back cover? If I have the special Hudy screwdriver to the screw head ... but I do not want to damage the screws on the back cover.

Thank you very much. Best Regards.

keep off and newer are same size but inner race is recessed on the back which requires a special bearing

houston what you think about putting an 28-7clock motor in a Gt serpent? or should I put that is a buggy? if so i like your opinion and if not the 28-7 in the serpent what other motor. only going to be doing speed runs and drag racing. not buggy though just grass bashing road maybe a little dirt at the track with the guys at events competing.

So hey, Ive come to think that long manifolds give more low end torque, and short manifolds assist in high end rpm?

Regarding rex paloma blue head with 9901/021 combo in buggy, what is an AVERAGE run time/tank.

Another question is will 9886/021, 2096/021 smooth out d bottom n give better run time.

Thinking of rex paloma or rex legend 4.

Eastside777 03-20-2015 02:35 PM

I have a Paloma all I can say so far so good . Was real easy to break in, idle all day if you let it . Only have tried one pipe and that was a werks 2058 man she is fast . Easy to tune and I am not no tuning expert at all . I started with the 6.5 Venturi and was getting 9mins to a tank of gas . Changed Venturi to 5.4 but motor was not working to good . Probably could have tuned it to be better but I just put the 6 Venturi in and bang she was working as per normal . With that last Venturi change motor temps at 245 degrees and last 11mins to a tank of gas . All I can say so far has way more bottom end then my plus 4 I had , let see if it last as long .
