Hey guys, if you were going to run a Nova based P5 with higher timing what non-Nova pipe would you go with? 2058? Meilke 2041?

Werks 2058 is the perfect pipe IMO.

I have been using Avids on engines I rebuild for over a year with great luck. They are also usually a bit cheaper.

I HIGHLY recommend not using any other bearing than the 17011 steel (no real advantage with ceramic front) ,they are THE BEST front bearing on the market period

I have been using avid rear bearings for rebuilds with great success the last two years ,tko before that

So whats the average amount of fuel you guys put into your nova's before you can lean on them? Ive got about 2L on mine, all car park work. 1L of just slow, smooth accel with nothing over 1/4 rpm. The past 1L ive been stretching its legs a little bit at a time. Still rich enough i reckon i can reuse the fuel coming out of the exhaust! Haha.
TIA fellas!!
Zach

I hear Novas dont really drop balls until 1.5-2 gallons, so before that I would stay on the rich side of the set up.

You can race it at the point youre at just leave hsn a bit rich ,DO NOT LEAVE LSN RICH !! This will compromise front bearing seal

Awesome, thanks guys. My btt+4 and tuned bonito have about 1.5-2 gallon on each. I found after run in the bonito was a tad stronger in the pinch category. Is this normal?
Both are running fine, still well over 10min on a tank at race pace.
