Have to use heat.... set your toaster oven for 250 and give the engine a good 10 minutes to heat up...then use a clutchnut on the crankshaft and a plastic tie wrap thru the exhaust port....Many times castor oil residue glues the sleeve in place and requires a little heat to get loosened up

Nova 16802 Ceramic Bearing

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket brand for this ceramic bearing? The size is 14x25.8x5. Asking for a friend of mine.

Thanks.

Probably my fault from running the top end too lean but I tore my Elite 5 apart and noticed some of the plating looks worn through in a few spots around the transfer ports on the inside of the sleeve. The pinch zone is still good and has a nice shiny mirror finish and the engine still has good compression. But will this cause any problems?

I don't think so. Nova shows it as a 14x25.8x5 not 6.

If it's for a Keep Off 4 I'm pretty sure that's the right bearing. 14x25.8x5.7x4.7 are the actual dimensions, the outer race is 5.7mm, the inner race is 4.7mm.

Thanks guys. Apparently some of the (older?) manuals showed the wrong size.

Kind of a loaded question..... There are tons of things that play into run time. Ambient temp, humidity, fuel and nitro content, elevation, track conditions, drive train efficiency, clutch, carb inset, traction available with the correct tires installed on the car, pipe and header, and mostly how you drive it....

A fully broken in motor properly tuned for the weather and location, with the correct pipe and clutch on a car with the correct set-up, driven smoothly ( like most pro drivers) should make around 10 minutes. The same set-up with a normal person, will probably be around 8 1/2-9 minutes. All things being equal, minus the driver that is..

It would be safe to say 8-9 minutes.

Engine for Buggy

Looking to get a new engine soon for my MP9 and wanted to see everyone's opinion on the following choices:

Rex Legend 4
Rex Legend 7
PLUS .21-4BTT/A
BONITO .21-7XLB

I currently have the following pipes to go with them:
werks 2058
Novarossi 9901/41019

if the 41019 is not suited, which manifold should I get?
