Mito

Looking into buying one of these Mito 4 port engines. Anyone know how well they would work with a 2097 in line RB pipe or 2058 orion pipe with shorty header?

Anyone know what crank is in the Drake Novarossi 5 port. Looks like similar specs to new Mito35 GT 5 port. Wouldn't mind saving a few dollars buying the drake motor and having the correct carb that I don't have to spin around for GT. Don't know why GT motors have onroad carbs when they are going on offroad GT style chassis.

Don't know the part number of the crank but do know its the newer sized 14.5mm like the Bonito, Mito and Virtus. Happy hunting!

Part number for the drake crank is 15AD5 and it hasn't been released yet. It's a good motor. Very smooth. I'm on my second one.

Pipe and manifold suggestions.

Guys,
I am currently running a race modified rex revenge turbo head in my agama a215, and a race modified p5xl standard head in my truggy. Both were modded by rcrenew. At the moment I just strapped on the pipes I had when I first got it nitro. Now that I found a mill I like looking to upgrade my pipes to get the most out of them. Medium sized track 35 34 second lap times. Current pipe on the rex is a sh2060 and the pH has a dynamite platinum 086.
Any thoughts???

9901/41021

For truggy I'd go with 9853/41001 or 41031 and put the 086 on the Rex

Thanks for the suggestions. What is the difference between the two headers? 41001 and the 410031.
Thanks again

bash bros 07-03-2016 07:42 PM

The 41001 is the short square header and makes the most overall power and top end out of all the Nova headers (well besides the 41032 anyway). The 41031 is the conical version of the 41021 and has a little more low end torque than the 41021 and 41001.

Hey guys, any performance/power difference between the 9886 and 9886 SS? I hear some mixed things.

rotor head33 07-06-2016 10:07 PM

Only difference is wall/stinger thickness. I have both and can see NO difference.

Performance wise i agreed is same but the SS sound more fierce

The SS (Super Strong) was intended to be thicker/tougher.

They're a bit heavier, but run basically the same but will take a hit without caving in.

Changing Conrod

When do you guys typically change the engine conrod? I have a keep off 7 that had 3 gallons before I got it rebuilt. Afterwards I ran like half a gallon to a gallon now my bearings are shot and I am in the process of changing them. Should I change the conrod now or should I check for signs of wear to make that decision?
