My Elite 8 flames when landing a triple (and I am landing the backside of the triple). Any ideas on what causes this? Idle is good and changed plug. I don't believe it's rich.

Make sure your flywheel isn't hitting the ground when you land.

Agreed with checking flywheel, anyway make sure ur linkage/idle in working order

Linkage is good. Its a Tekno so flywheel actually sits above the chassis. I'll get some good heat in it and chk idle. I'm about ready to chuck that motor.

Very smooth engine, imo dont run 9901/41021,very flat on top

I have an Os Speed 2060 new or an used Alpha Plus 2107...
I think an engine with 7 transfer ports can not be flat on top.

As if you know what the engine does by only the amount of ports......

Mine liked a 41033 with the 2096. like posted above its very smooth but I don't find it to be flat on top with the pipe I run. If your on super high bite you will probably want to run a little stiffer clutch setup to get it punchy.
I feel it runs allot like my protek samurai. mine has the two needle carb with long lsn not the 3 needles most of them come with.

It's all about too much flex of the tekno chassis. I had this issue on my NB48, pretty annoying.
Try tighter bell-spur mesh

Doesn't matter with the porting, the pipe is how the powerband make of, 2096 all the way

Its the NT...basically a .3 now. Mesh is as tight as I can get it...Elite 8 has a wider base moving the bell farther away from the spur. I ran fine 4 wks ago. Temp has changed (cooler) so the tune is now richer. Was thinking maybe it was too rich, but it doesn't appear to be so. Idk. Anythg else to try? I love the power in this motor especially on trug, but I've had more trouble out of it than any about any motor I've ever owned.

Stock motor mount or m2c mount? Maybe your clutch bearing is shot?
