were can i order it from?

Can you just use the piston from an Elite 5? That'd probably be a likelier option than finding a Paloma piston sold separately.. (I would guess..) Just buy a whole Elite 5...

Engines

Hey guys. I tried searching this thread. Lots of pages and rctech less than great mobile app didn't return much.

I'm needing two engines for next year. For buggy and truck.
This year I've been running an nova based x5, it's a great engine but racing in Colorado at 6,000-6,500ft in elevation it doesn't have the power I'm looking for, especially compared to a speed or reds based mill.

I have enjoyed the quality of my novas though. But every one I've ever owned just hasn't had the power I want. +4btt and fms from back in the day.

So my question. What are the biggest horsepower mills offered right now,

I'm looking at
Mito 7
Bonito
In buggy

And maybe
.25 Roma in truck

Any help would be appreciated.

Bonito and Roma are solid performers. What size restrictors are you running? I live at 4000 feet and run a 7mm restrictor in buggy and 8 in truggy. You should probably be running larger at even higher altitude. I usually run a plus 4 in buggy and a 7 port of some kind in truggy. Bonito should put some pep in any buggy. Roma is good for truggy too. You can also remove a shim from a Nova to raise compression a tad.

I ran the 8mm restrictor. Tune is good. Ran 10 minute pit stops and no engine related flameouts all year. Just not enough rip. What is the difference between mito 7 and bonito

might want to try a modded btt, mine has allot more on top and bottom than my keep off4.

Hey guys, new racer here. I currently have a Triton L4 in my buggy, no issues with it so far, has about 4 or 5 gallons on it. I am interested in getting a "plan b" motor, so that i can have a backup should things go left on a weekend.

some guys at the track have been suggesting a Nova P5, whats the difference between the Clio P5 and the P5XLT? Im looking for something smooth and driveable, with good mileage, durable, tuneable as im fairly new. i am definitely not the fastest and dont look to be, haven't gotten my trigger finger trained yet either.

input or suggestions would be appreciated

Hi.

Take off 0,2mm of you headshims when racing at that altitude. Maybe even more. You will get more power ;-)

Different part number, anyway mito 4 is long stroke. Conclusion, most likely no

rcmoe 11-02-2016 07:25 AM

Yeah I kno the part numbers are diff and stroke is diff. Anybody else hav any
Knowledge on this?

Roelof 11-02-2016 08:05 AM

Basically no but if the diameter of the sleeve is the same then it will fit but you must change the center pin, you also have change the button head. If the timings of the ports are within range is a question but it can be measured and changed. The only thing is that you will have a smaller engine, probably arround 3.3~3.4cc

Tko ceramics

Does tko have the nova keep off 4 n 7 rear special ceramic bearings? If does, what is the part number
