What will be an optimal temp for a modded Keep Off 7 ripping hard? about 260F? I heard the newer heads read quite a bit hotter.
|
I don't know about that, but from memory Novarossi state on their information that you should be looking to run at ambient temp + 90 degrees celsius, which 90C is around 200F. So you're looking at ambient temp +200F.

http://www.redrc.net/2014/06/rex-on-...ntent=FaceBook What I see there it says the Plus5 has a 14.5mm crankshaft. I asked a guy "in the know" and he said that this would be 15033. What would that do to a P5 when it comes to performance? |

I asked a guy "in the know" and he said that this would be 15033. Actually just noticed that NR has the same exploded view for both "R-Plus 5" and "Paloma"... But the Paloma and the first Toro Nero shares most parts; http://www.novarossi.it/2012/images/...ORONERO-21.pdf Are they getting rid of parts..? :sneaky: |
The engines are built by novarossi , great quality
Im sure the engines are good runners |

That crankshaft will not fit the P5. The P5x/P5XLT/P5Clio has 14mm crank using 14x25.8mm main bearing in the crankcase. The 14.5mm crank listed above requires 14.5x26mm main bearing in the crankcase.
The webpage clearly states that it uses a 14.5mm crankshaft. My source says it's one numbered 15033. |
they would also have to machine they inner part of the block to take a 14.5 mm crankshaft...

Novarossi Roma.25 Tuning and Heating Question
I have a Losi 8 T 3.0 with a Novarossi Roma .25 trugy engine. The engine has an 8mm Venturi, 9886/41001 nova pipe and short manifold combo. I also have 4 aluminum clutch shoes with stiff springs.
I have about 1 1/4 gallon of fuel through the motor and cant get a good tune. It keeps running hot - 260 - 290. Also I cant get a nice clean sound on the straightaway, it sounds rich or fat, but If I lean it out the engine runs too hot. Is it normal for the roma to run hot? Do I need to break it in more? Is there a chance that I have the wrong pipe/manifold pipe combo? The combo I have I pulled off this forum, but when I look on NR website neither option is recommended for this motor? Any recommendations or info on your experience with roma's will be a huge help |
drop a 7mm in that thing maybe try a 9901 pipe.. .but i think the 7mm will help you out
|
Just wondering what the runtime comparison between the keepoff 21-4s and the 21-4 world champion would be? Has anyone ran both?
