Yes. And why would Novarossi have any problem machining the case 0.2mm more to accept a 26mm bearing? I'm not sure I follow your logic.

The webpage clearly states that it uses a 14.5mm crankshaft. My source says it's one numbered 15033.

Sorry I thought you were asking if the crank would fit inside the P5 based engines. After I read it again, I don't think that was what you were asking.

Interesting

The original Rex p5 used a 14mm crank, however, this engine reminds me of the Novarossi plus 21-5 engine. If I remember correctly it was fast, been a while though. I do know the case is not the same as the old plus 21-5. I rebuilt one a year ago and it was good. I don't remember if it had those little ports under the exhaust port. either way it looks great.

I still have an old REX P5 with only 1 gallon thru it...been thinking of pulling it off the shelf and using it for club racing...anyone know if there's a turbo head that will fit this old beast?

What an awesome engine. My all time favorite. Lasted longer than any other no doubt.

Anyone tried the Protek metal rear bearings? How good are they?

Just asking because I've recently had two TKO ceramic bearings arrive all notchy and weird, so not sure if I want to buy more of those.
Was thinking on going with metal bearings instead, less of a hassle?

Why wouldn"t you contact them and see what they will do?

Engine rebuild?

I have the Nova Toro Nero. I took it apart and found a scratch in the inside of the sleeve and on the head of the pistion. Should the replace the head and sleeve? Is it worth saving? Its just one little scratch.

No experience with the Protek but the Avids are nice and smooth. Avid does not have the 14.5 bearings though.

1 question about Nova tuned pipe for on road & off road (for 3.5cc engine).

What is the difference between a 3 chamber tuned pipe & a 2 chamber tuned pipe???

Thanks
