NOVAROSSI Engine thread....

We are talking about a stock Plus4 here......its anything but a wild monster of a engine....many guys have this engine on the 41021/9901 and are looking for more kick....I just showed them a way to find more kick....
As for testing, few here would match the amount of testing we do, nor match the equipment and facility we have for testing....dyno,test track, radar gun, acoustic tachometer.....we test everything and assume nothing.........

I can guarantee i have done soooo much ON TRACK testing its ridiculous
The 41001 absolutely does not give more low end , i am 100% confident of this , what it does is shift the powerband effect into the low-mid power transition , most noticeable on the rpm pipes such as 9886 , trust me i used the 9886 for a looong time
When you couple the 41001 with a 9853ss
now that is a killer combo

Depends on the day and who's driving....On our track everyone so far prefers the 41001/41019 because it gives more grunt and the top end is better...We have high grip, short run off camber technicals and a long straight with a high speed sweeper at the end of it...So having grunt down low is critical to hit the fast lines, and having a strong top end is very important as well....We do not have issues with tire spin, so this gives us the opportunity to test the performance characteristics of each engine/combo without having the results skewed by tire spin.... On the radar you can clearly see which combo's are faster, and driving them you can feel which ones clear the jumps easier..... As I say a person will see more MPH and more pop running the 41001/410019...doesn't mean its right for everyone, or that everyone should run this combo...I can however promise that this combo will do exactly what I am saying it will....more pop and more MPH...what someone does with that is up to them.......

Hi All,
this probably been asked for a thousand time, but I tried "search" and I couldn't get a definite answer.
What header/pipe combo would work best with Novarossi Bonito XLBS? Looking for good balance between torque, top speed and runtime. I am on Novarossi plus 4BTT right now and I already have 41021, 41020 header and 9901, 2096, 9886 pipe.
I am happy with the tunability and stability of my BTT, I could accelerate in an instant from 15 second dead stop, idle all day upside down or upright, never ever flame out during an hour main race, things that I couldn't do on an OS, but no matter what I tried and how much I spent on pipes I could never get it to have the pop I am looking for, I couldn't clear jumps that I could clear easily with my stock blue head OS XZB on 2060. The BTT is just wayyy too tame for my demand.
I know from this thread that 41001 header will give the BTT more pop I am looking for, but I can sell my BTT easy and since the local dealer is having crazy sale, with the money I get from my used BTT and for just a little more I can get a brand new Bonito XLBS with new header and pipe of my choice. I assume a BTT with 41001 header will still be not as quick as a Bonito, did I assume right? Clocked BTT is not an option on this side of the world.
I know it is a heresy to talk about OS here, but I need honest opinion. Durability aside, but how do you compare stock Bonito XLBS and OS XZB Speed? Pop Off the line, mileage, top speed....
TIA

I did use the 9901-41021 on a nov 21-4 and it was wery tame.Later on i did try the rb 2087-192 combo and it started to pop some more.Did never miss any pop before jumps near to turns.
I did also try the rb combo on a 21-4btt and it realy pop,it really feels strong from start.
Sadly the 2087 broke and i was forced to by what the lhs had in store.
So i bought the os 2060 and use it with the rb192.I dont know what difference this make becouse i did never try it the same day.
But i think it has a little more from bottom to mid and a little les screaming in the top.
Now i am driving nova btt with os2060-rb192 and a buku clutch. With this combo i need to hold back to not overjump every jump on my local track.
To be honest i think you should check your set up or clutch or something.
Becouse there should not be need for a bonito or a monster to clear jumps.
But then again if you are loocking for more top speed.....
Just my opinion.
My arrow did have some more top speed and some more grunt from mid to top but did not have the pop that the btt have. And my local track is small so btt does really shine there....

For the Guru's
Could the piston and sleeve from my n21 Nova motor be put in the P5 case and use its crank and Head(button) and would it wake up the n21 at all with the better crank and going to turbo button? Just thinking......I realize the sleeve of the p5 is a better and more "massaged" design... I got an Idea that not too pricey.....
