Novarossi +4BTT ceramic rear....
I came from the OS camp and these new Novas from build quality to performance raised my eye brows....lol
Wouldn't it be better to get one from Europe or the UK

Hi,
Sorry for my english, sometimes it's hard for me to write what's on my mind
I can afford to buy any of those engines so I'd like to get the best one there is.
where in UK I can find those? On ebay there are only BONITO's from UK.
Also, what's the difference between the BTT and the BTTS?
Is it good to take a pre-run engine?
I found a Novarossi Plus 21-4BTTS .21 Tuned Off Road 4 Pt. PreRun, for 530$ on ebay and don't know if this is a good deal.
best regards and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of You!!!
Greg

The BTT has ceramic rear bearing, the BTTS has F&R ceramic bearings and the BTTA has steel bearing, hope I didnt get that ass about.
The Nova plus4 btt is awesome in a buggy, heaps of smooth linnar power.

Go with a plus 4 for your engine choice. The smooth powerband and bottom end is perfect for a buggy.
If it was me: I would buy the plus 4BTTA ( steel bearings) and the replace the steel bearings with ceramics after about 4-5 gallons of run time.

I can answer that one for ya
The Bonito is a solid engine in stock form...many feel it is perfectly fine stock, but there are also many that felt it was too soft in the low end and considered it basically a top end engine...... I make mechanical changes to the engine to alter its performance characteristics to where I feel it is most ideal for our applications...ie a truggy............ The changes I make are based off many years of nitro engine experience, tuning both on a dyno and on the track...
On the Bonito the changes made are as follows
re-ground intake ports on the sleeve...I actually hand grind the exhaust and the intake ports...altering the timing as well as the port angles..... what this does is resets the sleeve timing to better suit our North American tracks by dramatically increasing the low RPM power... The altered intake port angle changes the loop scavenging patter inside the sleeve, which results in making a much more efficient scavenging cycle, which results in making more power at the same time as increasing runtimes.........My engine will blow less unburnt fuel out the pipe then the stock engine will because of the reshaped intake ports........ Also because of the intake port modifications I can also add more timing duration to the crankshaft without the engine being harder on fuel........
The final result is a engine that is substantially more powerful then stock that will be as good or better on fuel then the stock version.... If you were to run a stock Bonito side by side to my modified one you would hear a very distinct difference in the exhaust note...My Clocked engines tend to have a unique exhaust note that stands out from the crowd.......

I have modded Nova engines from both guys (X3 and Plus 4) and they are both excellent. They are also completely different animals from one another.
If you really want a modded Nova engine, give them a ring and they can help you better understand the best option for your needs.

Thinking about running a P5XLT in a JQ this upcoming season. Can someone tell me the best pipe/header combo for a P5 in a buggy? Looking at the P5 because I ran a +4 last year and wanted just a bit more on bottom. Thanks
