I took my nova plus 21 4C team motor apart a while back and cleaned it and sent the p/s off to be pinched and forgot which way the turbo button goes back on the crank case. Does it go on with the arrows facing back towards the exhaust or the other way towards the front of the motor? If I remember correctly I think it is with the arrow pointing towards the back of the exhaust.

Thx

Quick question about glow plug and R21 Nitrotec.

Sometimes when I remove plug after race day it's sparkling clean/little wet but other times it has carbon/black residue on rim of plug and element at the connection point is blacker than normal. I know temp. and air quality has alot to do with tune but this happens with same temps and tune. 97t OD plugs are what I am using in my R21 Nitrotec with 2 gallons thru it. Any ideas?

looks like both motors have the same bore and stroke and the same crank, so i would yes that should work and make you a P5X. i recommend replacing bearings, especially the front if you are reviving an old motor. TKO ceramic bearing are the best you can buy and they are cheap too

Plus 4C

Hi all,

I really need some help. Im using a plus4C with odo 97t, dynamite 053 pipe
And 30% Mecca fuel. Ran 3, 7min heats with no problem. It only starts during the finals. Had 2 flameouts and it happened near the 7min mark and exactly at the same place. Theres still fuel in the tank. Aft WOT along the straight stretch which is about 30mtrs, hard brake to negotiate s hairpin n full throttle, the engine simply flameout. What might be the causevof the problem..? When the pitman refuel, theres no problem at all to restart the engine.. Pls advice.. Thanks.

Could be a bad tank... Sounds like when your fuel level droops so does your pressure. I would change the tank and see if it happens again. If you change your tank, use should change the lines as well just to be safe.

Hi bro,

I doubt its the tank coz it happen both on my Serpent811 as well as my 808 as i had this problem before. Should i shorten the exhaust tubing..?
Or is there anything wrong with my needle settings.. Thanks

Well you said in your heats you had no problems, so your needles should be ok. How long is your exhaust tubing? If it was my car I would at least test out a new tank but that's because I use Mugen tanks...

Your idle could be dropping when your engine warms up, but you would also notice this in a 7min heat. So I would rule that out.

For me it really points to a tank or line issue.

could be 2 bad tanks... or bad lines on the inside.. check it out... if those tanks have clunks maybe the fuel line got soft and is getting bent and not being submerged into the fuel... just try it and see...

Is it right after the corner or are you on throttle for a moment before it happens . A while ago something similar happened to me . Couldn't figure it out,new tank, lines ,plug ,gaskets. Ended up taking my carb out and flushed it completely with motor spray . Fixed my issue ,must of been a small piece of debris at the nipple or somethin. Worth a try

Does the Bonito have enough power to pull a truggy. I had a Toro Nero and was very unhappy with the performance?
