Like Ron mentioned, check out the first post.

Something I experienced and it may not apply to all is that my engine was easier to tune and runs better with the Byrons 3000 9% oil and a Werks #5 plug. You can break it in with the 11% oil, but after break in, if you are finding that it may be a little finicky, try 9% oil.

Like I said, may not apply to all, but just found 9% to run a little cleaner.

thanks i just read that a lot of good info. how is this motor with a 2058 pipe in a losi 8 t kit?:batman:

I'm the wrong person to ask for an opinion on my own product lol! There are however quite a few comments from users in the last 549 pages that should give you an idea of what to expect ;)

Ok, it has plenty of power to push the 8T around. That a really light, really efficient truggy which a B6 can push around without any problems. The B5 will be awesome in it!

the kit is light love it.

oops wrong thread...

b5 plus losi truggy = beast out of the whole and will pull anyone down a straight i have run this motor back to back against a v spec b6 and a ninja and i love the feel of the b5 its running a .21 with the feel of a .23 bottom end

vito 06-14-2012 06:29 PM

i have a 2058 pipe

vito 06-16-2012 10:03 AM

on the heat gut how long do i use it till. till the motor gets ran in some?

alexrckid 06-17-2012 09:35 AM

i still preheat the block on my B5's even after being fully broken in(for just a bit with the piston at BDC). makes life easier on all the moving components and takes no time....easier on the box/wheel as well). anyway....i've got many gallons thru all my B5's(in an 8T 2.0, as well) with no issues. the B5 is a fantastic engine.......just remember to drag the piston to BDC every time you stop the engine for awhile..........and, i use ARO when it sits, as well.......all good/cheap insurance..............try the DYNAMITE LIPO glow starter, as well........packs a punch to the plug.

I'm in need of a crank. Are the b5 and b6 cranks the same? I do not recall.

Thanks

vito 06-18-2012 10:22 AM

TX_Punisher 06-18-2012 10:43 AM
