ok I guess I have been away from this way to long. Need some help on attaching the carb. I have the carb, the sleeve for the shaft, rubber thing, and a black metal thing that looks like it is 2 pcs. I know it shouldn't be to hard, but HELP:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Oh I forgot to mention I have a Werks B5

Lol, bguard you have been away for a while ;-) So you have the carb, a sleeve for the crank, a rubber thing and a piece of black metal that looks like it is made of two pieces. The sleeve for the crank should be made out of brass and is the collett. The rubber thing that is black and looks kinda like a donut is the exhaust gasket, put this on the engine by the exhaust port. The 2 piece black metal thingy is the carb pinch bolt. It's actualy 3 pieces so start by taking it apart by unscrewing the screw. Once you have this out the 2 halfs of the punch bolt should be loose. Now insert your carburetor into the engine making sure that it is seated fully. Once this is done inser 1/2 of the pinch bolt on each side of the engine case in the wholes situtated by the base of the carburetor. When doing so please make sure that the cut outs in the carb pinch bolt half's (that is designed to sit flush with the round carb base) are facing towards the carburetor. Then insert the screw and tighten drawing together the two half's of the carb pinch bolt until they... Pinch the carburetor lol and it is nice n tight. That's it! For the rest please make sure that you follow the break in directions that I wrote towards the begining of this thread and if you have any further questions do not hesitate to ask.

hey ron...
ron, hope you can help me......i was fortunate enough to get a B5 from a-main a few weeks back. followed your break in method, as indicated earlier in this string, step-by-step(including getting the piston to BDC during all cool-downs). problem is that after bout 9-10(160cc) tanks of break-in i now have no pinch and very little "thump" at TDC). the engine seems to pull strongly, though with plenty of smoke running in the 22-230 range on byrons 30% race. my concern is for the longivity of my engines piston/sleeve. i need a strong engine(that's why i picked the B5) for a big race(motorama) in february. can you help out, ron..??

I bought this motor for my truggy and a buddy blew up his OS and needed a motor, so I sold him mine new in box. Well he broke it in this weekend and I cant wait to get my replacement cause this thing is SICK!! Absolutely incredible power, throttle responce and the run time is incredible!! Glad I chose this motor and so is he, it took some convincing to get him to try it but he is glad he did. Great product at a great price;)

http://www.rcplanet.com/Werks_Offroa.../wrxtl21b5.htm Both of them should have stock right now. Regards, Ron |
Does the B5 like the Ofna 053 pipe? What would be the pros and cons of using this pipe on this motor. I have the pipe, not the motor (yet).

run the motor again yesterday and i made 2 changes: from a 2 year worn down OS 2060 to a new RE10 and from nitrotane 20% to Byrons Gen2 30/9 and WOW!!!! i can say for sure, this beast is more powerful than my previous power-plant (OS Speed)
qualified 5th in the A main but when i was doing warm-up laps the rain started and we were done. This motor has about 1¼ gallons of fuel and it feels awesome!!! later my friend that was pitting in the qualifiers said to me than 5 people asked what motor i put in the 1/8, "it is another Speed? nope..it's a B5" jejeje one of them come to me and asked me if i have a speed block with a B5 head lol i said of course not!! this is a fully Works B5 .21 mill!!! i think there are people that doesn't believe what a 190.00 mill can do!! well more and more people are seeing and believing:nod::nod::nod: |
Hey Werks, since the mill is made by sirio is there any chance that the conrod would fit a CL7B, I recently purchased a B7 and Wow, it performs just like my JP Eagle did but the eagle lost its wings as well as the lower half of the piston hmmmmm, and now my sirio conrod resembles a fish hook, split the thing vertically right up the middle and now can't find one anywhere hence why im looking at the werks conrod.
