Just curious now that we have been shipping the 2010 version of the B5 with the new alloy carb, what are you guys thoughts on the carb? How do you guys think that it reacts to changes in needle settings, how is the stability of the carb (over the coarse of a run)? If you could please give me your overall thoughts on it as well as any info on what your thoughts are on it versus other carbs that you have ran. Just looking for some general feedback....

Thanks!

Ron

Ordered mine on backorder at Amain - I got to it before they sent me an email to let me know it was in stock - thanks to rctech!

I'm looking forward to running it - should be a nice upgrade from my Go 5pt for my RC8T. I'll be running the 2035 for now - 2013 in the future if I need it.

Have not had a long run with 2010 carb yet. I did notice one thing that the needles are tighter because the old carb seem to be loose as you turned them. The slider on the carb is also smoother.I like the new carb seems great for a $200 engine, but the old carb is good too.

Ron I pmed you a few days ago about carb just wondering if you had a chance to read it yet ? And about the new carb. Way better than the old carb. As you know I still have issues with the old style carb sticking and hanging up. Not with the new one. It just keeps getting smoother the more I use it. Also the power is awsume. Only have almost a gallon through this one and it already runs like the old version with 2 gallons through it. The bottom setting is about the same as the old one, maybe an hour leaner. The top is about 4 0r 5 hours leaner than the old one. While Im at it is the new carb innerchangeble with the old motor?

Got 2 tanks on the box, carb settings as Ron suggested previsouly. Got about 2 tanks of blirping the throttle on the box also(200 deg.) Fired up with ease, idle was a little rough with the fat low end and the 2.5 mm idle setting for flushing the engine out. After two tanks of that went back to flush settings and 1.5 mm idle gap. Unforunetly, cant continue heat cycle today(snow storm) so no complaints so far.

A little off topic but anyone know where I might get me some Werks 30% fuel in the Northern part of Chicago IL?

Werks 02-11-2010 10:11 AM

Best bet is probably going to be going mail order with A-main. We have a new shipment of fuel going out to them on Monday!

hdcruz, did not see a PM from you in the last couple of day but I got a little side tracked and your part is going out today.

Ok, got about 1500-1700cc's throuth it. Started leaning it on high speed probally about 6hrs,(hour at a time) its starting to come in it's own now. My question is how much fuel before the pinch loosens a little? I think about 1500cc's more, than I'm at half gallon, so hopefully by then I can spin flywheel by hand. How much fuel did it take you guys till you could spin flywheel by hand?

Thanks Ron Rick (hdcruzer)

You got a tight one..... Both of mine the pinch was gone buy about the 6th tank. You need to get it on the ground and run it.....
