The motor pinch should be gone when the motor is broke in. If you are talking compression then have you ran it too hot? I have 2 orion one with little over 3 gals on it and still have great compression and one with 1 1/2 gals on it and cant turn it over by hand. if it runs good i would run it until it tells you in needs pinched( flameouts, wont idle, Etc...)

Stallen50, sorry maybe i didnot explained correct sorry my bad english, yes i know all engines does not have pinch after breaking , so mine its so free to rotate the flywheel like an engine that run a lot of gallons, the compression is good due like i told the engine still working perfect dont die or flameout, if the engine gone will flameout easy and dont idle i know that , the only afraid me is i surprised how this engine its so free compared another brands..... maybe its a characterisc from this engine??? and i could be wrong to be afraid because i am comparing with another engines compression feell

Thanks

What i do is if the motor cant hold itself up for 10secs on its side then i get it pinched or replace. And all motors are different in compression. I know novarossi and go racing engines used to take over 1 1/2 to fully break in. My micheal truhe edition has about 1 1/2 gals on it and compression is still hard and cant roll the motor over by hand. And my abi 3 port has 3 gals on it and still has pretty tight compression. Thats my 2 cents

Hi Scottym or pitpop

you helped me some posts back so i loved my CRF 5PORT ABI with 2057n pipe and extension, so the questios is i only run 1 galon or little more, the engine still perfect but im afraid the engine has not any pinch, i can move the flywheel so easy, its like a old engine sooo free... i is a characterist for this motor or mine wear out faster?(important to say the engine still running perfect) i dint nothing wrong no dirt inside all time new filters with oil, not run too lean.... , i take care the engine before and after breaking like a baby, i m just asking if its a characterisc for this motor be sooooooooo free after breaking

thanks
a lot

Like Stallen said if it stills runs good, and runs strong, do not worry about it. Wait until it won't run before piniching it..

Any Team Orion Alpha engine should hold the pinch for a couple gallons if it's broken in properly. They run better once they lose the pinch and really run ridiculous in the 3 to 6 gallon range when they get loose. Ridiculous top end power and good idle. Sometimes we can't wait for the pinch to go away so we have more top end. Even after the pinch is gone the engine should run a LONG time...

I love my orion's. I switched from werks and love it. Seem to have a little edge over werks, but that might be me. Anyone running 6.5 restrictors? How do u like running them?

You got, like i said before maybe i did not explained on first post... so i really know the diference between a old no compression engine and a engine that have a good compression without a strong pinch,so doesnt have pinch doesnt mean you dont have compression, but this efect depends from engines brands to brands , some engines its hard to turn the flywheel and could be have same compression/or long time to run several gallos like an engine that is so easy to turn the flywheel that appears the engine is gone..... the opposite also could be true, so its my first team orion engine so maybe team orion has this same characterisc i reported and asked...and still have a loooong life and i can use for more gallos, or i had bad luck and my engine its closer to the end...... sorry for the bad english

Thanks a lot

I don't know what you wanna hear, but they make good power, and put it to the ground nicely.. I've been getting 10+ on run time in truggy, with a rich needle setting.. I'm sure it'll hit 12 if i get it tuned just right..

Does the Cody King edition come with all the carb inserts? The pictures on Amain show them, but noone else does. So whats the deal? I figured I'd ask here since I'm sure there are some owners here:sneaky:

Yes. Have not strayed away from the 7.0mm insert that comes with it stock though.

I would say that it has one great attribute. That it is very balanced.Lowend, midrange, topend very ,very good.Does not do anything great. It does everything well:nod:

Anyone know where I can pick up a Discovery Combo? All the online stores are out of stock, and so is Greg B.. I'ld prefer one with the 2013 or 2058, but would consider 2057..
