So what is it? C5 or S5(and just how mild was the S5)?
the part number for the sleeve is an S5.. but the crank is from a C6 (i think)... not sure of the case..
The crank is the same used on Cross10 and Cross11 (X10 and X11), code 01165-14B
Check this on the part list of those engines on the RB site. |
Fire 11
Where can I get a Fire 11 from? Are they all gone?
Just about.. Hard to come by here too. I think RB's business plan was to go full circle after they cheapened their brand name with all the Asian engines, and now they only want to sell expensive stuff. Unfortunately.. The Fires and Blasts were good value.. There is a German shop with at least one 2045 combo in stock for €219.. Few others for €229...
I have seen the Fire 11on eBay at times.
Mainly, whats the differences between fire11 and fire12?
The fire12 is easier to find... |

I tried to get the sleeve out of the Blast V9, but couldn't manage it.. (Who the fxxx came up with the horrible idea of using flathead screws on an engine?..) It's got a huge gaping exhaust port though. So, not MES I guess..

Hi, For the people running the Rb Fire11, what have you found to be the best plugs to use with this motor?
Cheers. |
I have been using the Odonnell 99, and not having any problems.
I researched that a lot before running my Fire 11. And everybody said Novarossi C5TGC/C6TGC (depending on weather)... So that's what I went with - and all good..
What size bearings does the Fire 11 take and what brands are recommended?
