I have a Fire 11 that has somewhere around 1 to 1.5 gallons of fuel run through it that I am considering selling. I don't run truggy and I find it to be a little much in buggy. Send me a pm if you might be interested.

RB 3 Port
Hi everyone. I have an older RB .21 3 port, 7 or 8 years old I'd guess, composite carb, RB stamped on one side and CE stamped on other. I know that's vague but I just don't remember the model number and the head is aftermarket so no help there. I just replaced the front bearing and it's been a while since I ran this engine and I don't remember which plug type to run. Short or long? Any particular brand choice? Thanks for any help. Brett

v12
i have a RB V12 engine which has been running 1 gallon. When you give it a little gas and you will stop giving gas, it falls far Down in rpm and come up again at idle, at the risk of flamme out. so I thought that it was probably too lean at the bottom. but after refueling, it tends to flamme out, so I am thinking the bottom is too fat? Is there someone out there can answer what I am doing wrong.
I hope this makes sense I'm not so good at writing in English :) |
RB
Hi Occidio. IF your engine has been running good until now, I'd check these things before changing needle settings.
Has the idle stop moved? Spring tension strong enough to keep the gap consistent? Replace your plug unless it's new. Sometimes new plugs are bad from the factory so check it anyway. Make certain your fuel is fresh. Make sure your fuel system isn't clogged. Fuel line is cheap and easy to replace and also eliminates a possible air leak. Next easiest is the carb. Make sure it's well seated against the crankcase. I'd go ahead and clean it if you haven't. Just keep track of needle settings. Check the head and back-plate screws to make sure they are tight. If it's still out of tune, refer to Ron Paris' "engine tuning bible" at the top of this forum. He was The Man and his writing is among the best recourses ever. Good luck:) |
It has always had problems.
It was my spare engine at races. and a few weeks ago I was forced to use it in the mains. I Was in the Pro A-main and had 5-10 flame outs.. I changed the tank, hoses and exhaust without any difference. The clutch is brand new and is the same type that I usually use, and it's been checked for errors. |
Good day.
i see the RB Blast V12, amazing Price, for this engine, have a balanced crankshaft, an the sam episton sleeve for the BXR. i need a engine for practice, i have a RB BXR for competition, but i dont see reviews about this engine, please tell me your coments about this engine, top end and comsuption, is stable? make many flame outs? i see the novarossi P5XLT, that is other option, please coments....................... |
I run a stock V11 in my buggy. Plenty of power everywhere. Running it with a nitromizer, last time I timed it, it went 10 minutes with one marshal. Holds a tune, doesn't eat up plugs....
Just started breaking in a modded V11 for my truck, should be good. They are great motors at any price, and exceptionally good for the money. |

Flaming out for no reason... Well, it was all about tuning. It was a too lean bottom. Check the low end needle, mine is about 1/2 turn out from flush. |
Pipe and manifold
Hi guys!
Hey I'm wondering what is the best pipe and manifold set up for fuel consumption. I always thought pipes geared for bottom end were generally better for fuel consumption, but I don't really know.. What I do know is that I'm only getting 6 maybe 7 minutes of run time with my B10 right now. This is unexceptable... I'm running a dynamite 053 with it right now... Here's a list of engines and pipes I have. Could someone with a bit more experience help me match up these engines with the best pipes. Maybe shed some insight on why some pipes are better for fuel consumption, bottom end, top end, and mid range.... Engines: RB concepts B10 RB Concepts BX Dynamite Platinum XP V2 GoTech GT5 JPX .28 Pipes: Dynamite 053 MR RB Concepts 2097 W/ Parabolic Manifold. Thanks in advance. Help is appreciated greatly. |
I have the hard ano Dynamite 053, and so far it seems to work pretty well on most engines I've tried it on, and to get very good run-times.. Mostly I have a Go 5-port and RB Fire 11 in mind..
The pipe people seem to say is good on a wide range of engines is the 2058. Seems like, if it were going to be one pipe, the 2058 would be the best bet... |

Can someone confirm this has the same piston/sleeve as the BXR as it would be a good engine to have as a donor engine for parts.
thanks |
the piston and sleeve are not the same............. the BXR has a fancy billet dished/domed "Team" piston...the Blast V12 has a flat top cast piston ....the sleeves however are more or less the same....
