Yeah, but you could strap a Red Bull can to a Fire and it would have good top end...
Sadly, I suspect the Fire is being discontinued, and RB is going back to just having expensive engines, once all the old bits are used up with the Blasts.. Nobody seems to have the Fire anymore.. I guess they want to correct their image after coming out with all those cheap Asian engines.. The 053 btw was very good on a Caster Grenade I had a few years ago too.. Best idling engine I've had, and more top end than I'd ever be able to use on any track I'll ever be running on.. It sucked though on my SH basher engines, although lots of people like them on LRP's etc.. So who knows?.. I like it on the Fire though.. |

Finally back from the strip club :D I agree with Neil and think everyone should give the 2058 pipe a try. For me it's the only pipe I run anymore in buggy or truggy. I know I have posted about plugs in here many times in the past and still feel C5TGC or something very similar is the way to go. I did also run some Dynamite Platinum #4 and #5 plugs at the end of this season with very good luck. They don't seem to last quite as long as the Nova plugs tho. The Dyn #5 seems very close to the C5TGC and the #4 seems a bit hotter which is great at my altitude!!

Hey Chris, where have you been???? Are you running RB engines?
|
I ran the F11 today with an RB 2045 pipe, and the Nova 41021 header, nice combo. Tried the Nova 9886/41019, not bad, very linear, the the 2045 is.much better.

I am still running RB. Since our gas season here ended I have been spending my time in gun forums because I am gona spend the winter doing some competition shooting. I do plan to make at least one trip to race with you guys in the desert this winter tho!!!! |
Cool, we are having the 2013 The Dirt Nitro Challenge, Feb 20-24. Try to make that one, its always fun. Joey has Ben building tracks in Italy, Spain, and Brazil, I think.

Bart,
The 2058 I run is the Werks version of it. The Werks, Orion, and nVision all come from the same place but I have heard that the nVision branded ones come in a high end and a low end model, not sure what exactly is different tho. I looked on A-Main and I think I am gona order an nVision one tho, for that price I will see for myself if their lower quality runs as good as the Werks. |
The high end 2058 has a beefed up stinger, the cheaper one does not.
