Okay, I can see the differences between the 2, the 9901 is the same diameter from the pressure nipple forward, the 2097 looks like its tapers forward.

I'm using the 2045/192 parabolic header, the new 2045 with the matt finish, I think the header is 192? I may try the 192 header on it to see how it works, I'm still breaking in the engine, just have, maybe a fuel bottle thru it now, but, it does have some great power, very linear, I think. Have you tried the Nova 2096 pipe? It is identical to the 2045 pipe.

it looks like a 9901 or 9853...the manifold is very long, I likely wont use it but rather 410001...the engine will be a clocked BXR
Just got a new BXR as a spare to rest the clocked P5...go hard Neal:eek: |
The Fires seem to be drying up over here.. Discontinued?
|
in a buggy, with good conditions and the same, who engine have more runtime the B11 or BXR?
|
Well, looks like the Fires are almost nowhere to be found over here anymore.. Have an offer for a Blast V4 though, for a decent price..
http://www.md-modellsport.de/shop/pr...oducts_id=5708 How is it? More of a buggy engine I assume, not so much for truggy? |
What venturi are people running in their Fires (and buggy, or truggy)? Thanks..

Thanks HB. Why, may I ask? (Just posted this in the NR thread, but...) I ran my F11 last weekend in buggy, and it had mega-power and silly-too-much top end for the track, but it just wasn't as responsive as I'd like. I was wondering if a smaller venturi would give it that more feathery, modulated (as opposed to sledge-hammer, but with a minute delay..) feel... I just rumaged around and found a 7mm and 8mm venturi, and put a 7mm in.. ?? Thanks. Also, are you running it in buggy or truggy?
|
I'm using a 7mm in mine also, its not broken in completely yet, has plenty of power.

For the guys using the CRE Modded Fire 11,
What sort of run times are you getting out of your motors and what pipe / header combinations are you running to get these times. I have one in a MBX6R Buggy and just getting 7 minute run times. Would like to get more, was aiming for the 10 minute mark if at all possible. Cheers. |
Recently getting 10 min pits everywhere in truggy with both RB & Boss pipes. Stock carb with 8mm insert. Tuning is key with this engine.
