you can run any fuel that works for you... most people on here would recommend Byrons... but that doesn't mean its the only fuel you should run.. at my track they are 4 different types of fuel generally ran at the track.. Byrons, VP power master, Odonnels, and team strike.. and they are mostly Nova engines .. so run whats available to you..the nitro percentage should be what matters the most.. as the majority in the US runs 30%

thank you, i'm running team strike on a eb mods/js engine. i'm getting a serpent buggy and must of them are leaning me towards a novarossi, but you got to run byrons fuel or it wont tune right. imo that suxs that your limited to one fuel source. i've been looking at at rb 11 hellfire, engine. i'm on a $350 budget on getting a new engine. so you can race tune a rb engine no matter what fuel i use? i'm limited on resources of 30% fuel. the local hobbyclown don't sell 30%here. i get my fuel at the track, with whatevers available. so i need a engine i can tune to what someone has at the track. thanks again for ya'lls help

Who said you have to run Byrons fuel. thats not true, you can run what ever you want. Some fuels are better then other it all comes down to a driver. I like fuels with Castor, I dont like fuels with full synthetic but again thats a preference. Wear is something you try to prevent different oil packages provide didnt wear characteristics. Dont kill yourself over this fuel thing buy what you can but check the oil packages between these fuel then pick one. Run that fuel once you decide that way your tune stays the same.

sorry man thank you.

Poor george

AT one point, I didn't know if George was going to drop from running so much
or of the engine was going to drop it's connecting rod from the high notes it was hitting.

Nice C6. Can you make it sing higher???? LOL.. Just Kidding.

Hi
I have a BXR ive just got for my serpent truggy and have 2 pipes to choose from as i got the engine without a pipe.
I have a dynamite 086 and a rb 2087 with a 198mm manifold.
Which would be the best to use and what effect would each one have.
Thanks

I have 2 close RB engines. My CRE Fire 11 is a magnificent engine. It has consistently performed very well. This engine is easily tuned with stock carb. C6USA is like Neal's video. What can I say? All my CRE engines run well. I run the RB 2045/192 for small tracks, 9886/41001 for mid size, 2083 with werks manifold for all out. Engine is on point!

LOL..George absolutely loves it ! believe it or not but that is only a small part of a days run for the dog...I just cut and edit segments to shorten it up for youtube.... On a good day George can usually chase the truggy for nearly 2 tanks before he poops out.......For a mastiff he has phenomenal drive and endurance...

This C6 is a screamer, it revs out effortlessly and has nearly a musical exhaust note to it....I have no concerns over rod breakage they rev them even higher in onroad with no issues, these engines naturally seem to be well balanced and rev out very effortlessly and smoothly.........

Boinker 10-05-2012 05:57 PM

I used to drive a Mp 777 SP2 with a C6 BB and my god that thing was wicked fast. Outran just about everything everywhere.... Yours is obviously a bit faster but that is in a truggy... Imagine that thing in a buggy. :woah:

Nice touch maximo.

Dr. Evil 10-06-2012 07:29 AM

George

yeah. I believe it. I had a golden lab and we were at a park one time and a lady couldn't get her whippet to calm down. So I told my dog to chase her. My dog chased that dog for over 45 minutes non stop until the Whippet literally walked over to it's owner and dropped. My dog was barking at her to tell her I'm not done.

Dogs are amazing.

Anyway, MAXIMO - as far as you know, are there any hidden sources for parts for older engines out of production that can be found online???

I'm looking for a piston/sleeve/con rod for an RB S7, and a RB Worlds S7 (Gen 1)

Herrsavage 10-06-2012 07:43 AM

Those old parts are being sold off as the Blast line in Germany...

Dr. Evil 10-06-2012 07:51 AM

Blast line??

Got a website??

I don't see anything for the US about the Blast engine.

Nothing on the RB Website as well.

Out of the 2 pipes you have, I think the 9886 is the best bet, the 2087 is quite a different pipe, haven't really seen much good out of it.

So guys, I'd like to ask again for some input from the RB gurus.. Is the Blast V8 a good investment? Probably don't need to point it out again, but will: I'm not looking for smooth power or 14 minutes of run-time. I want power and speed. The wife-y has offered to get it for me for my b-day.. It would most likely sit on the shelf all winter.. I like having winter shelf-queen engines though.. :) How do you reckon it would compare to some of the usual suspects - Nova P5, Alpha A852, Fire 11, Jammin JPX 21, etc?..

http://www.rmv-lounge.de/2012/09/05/...tor-verfugbar/

If the 2058 is so great, I could even sell the 2045 and recoup some money.. The engine would be going in an RC8T and RC8.2. Kind of want an Alpha .23 or NR Roma for the truggy, but there's somewhat of a pull to get an engine that will work in both cars.. (though I guess a .23 or .25 would go well in my DM-1 too...)

I installed my Fire 11 in the RC8.2 recently, but haven't had a chance to test it(hopefully 2moro..) I noticed though that it had some front to back play on the crankshaft - for some reason even after the clutch was on.. Anyway, point is.., I guess the Fire 11 is the first engine I'd really bother sending in for new bearings and rod.. And if I'm going to do that, then having a second RB wouldn't be a bad idea I guess, for parts, etc.. If RB is going to keep coming out with affordable big-power engines like the F11 and Blast series, then it could be a brand I'd stick with.. Kind of wish they'd come out with a .23 or .25 though..
