Yes. It still has lots if mechanical pinch.

The most important thing is to keep the engine above 200. I would lean on both needles until you have a clean bottom end then what you need on top. You can put a descent tune on it so it is raceable without hurting the engine

I will be putting more fuel through it today after work. Just going to run it in a parking lot and tweek it a bit.
|
Remember though, when you tune on a parking lot, temps will generally go up when you run it on a track with those same settings... (and even more up if you run it for ex. on grass...)

With temp guns, I have used exerted temp guns, since they came out, with the guns most people are using now, they will be most accurate on temps up to around 250, compared to other brand temp guns start showing larger temp ranges when the temperature is getting hotter, other brands may show 290, and the exergen temps will show 270.

I have a older style bxr that has a scratch on the piston and sleeve but it still runs. I really like the engine but with rb closing I'm sure parts are about to get slim. Do any of you guys know if there is a p/s/r from a novarossi that will interchange? Thanks in advance.

Did you try Amain yet?

For me it is Exergen or nothing. I do own a Raytek, but I don't trust it. I always borrow a friends exergen to verify my temps. If the battery is new my raytek is pretty good. If my friend is there I don't even get mine out. He has a older one and a newer one.
here is a good one for you, do you know who designed and help develop the Exergen temp gun? It was a man that was, called, Ron Peris, I'm sure you know who is, if you been into RC for quite awhile. The main guy from Exergen was telling me about this not to long ago, I got the temp guns like most everybody uses now when that first came out in about 2002, and since, even bought another a few years ago, there the best. |
