The Fire 11 lacks bottom end stock. C6 has better bottom. Much depends on who modifies it. Neal drops the sleeve in the F11 making much more bottom. I run different pipes for short or long tracks. My new C6 p/s/r is at CRE now. It's a very nice racing engine. Gets better mileage than F11. If i had to race one stock, it would be the C6. The C6 really benefits from a little more crank timing.

Thanks for the input. Funny though.. I thought the F11 was supposed to be more of a truggy engine. Back when I bought mine it was a deal with an Associated RC8.2, and one of the shops I was trying to get it from straight out told me it wasn't really appropriate for a buggy.. But if it lacks bottom end, and has a great top-end, well, that seems good for buggy to me.. It DOES have a very nice top-end too though..

But I don't know. I'd probably rather have a modded or even stock Alpha .23 than get either the Fire or Blast V8 and then get it modded..

Here's my Fire with 053 in an SC8 from earlier today..:

The tune is not %100 (open to suggestions..), but temp, smoke, and sound were more or less in the ballpark.. It's loading up a bit at idle, so I guess the LSN is still a bit fat.. Anyway, I think the 053 is a good match.. And now that I watch it, when you figure it has +1 on the CB, maybe the bottom really isn't all that weak.. I like it so far, but I wouldn't say it's night and day better than my Argus for ex..

I think what I want is an engine with the punch of the Argus, and the screaming top end of the Fire 11 ha ha...

That's what i have, the best of both. CRE Fire 11 with a Reds 2083 pipe. It's my baddest .21, and i have 6 different kick ass .21's. Only my CRE OS .25 is stronger. I call it my OS 250, lol. It's like running a 250 with the 125's.

Even cheaper:

(one of the better German shops..)

Herrsavage 09-10-2012 06:11 AM

Well I sent a mail to RMV Germany asking which is more powerful, and the guy said there is basically no difference. He also said they are out of Fires, interestingly.. So, with the Blast V8 combo being €180, I'm going to think about getting one.. I just hope they're around for a while.. All the Blasts seem to get bought up pretty quickly.. I'm keen on an Alpha .23 though too..

Ran the Fire a bit again yesterday, but had to stop. The tires were coming off the rims...

Chris Reilly 09-10-2012 08:26 AM

With pipe.. (albeit the non-fancy/uncoated or whatever version of the 2045)

RB needs to do a 25..

What are you guys thoughts on the RB RTR 21:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ipe-Turbo-Plug

Looks like a sweet deal for a motor/pipe for a club guy like me unless it's a POJ then it's not such a sweet deal : ). Thing is, I have a new R5/Pipe NIB but still need to work on my motor breakin/tuning skill before I tear up an R5. Would much rather tear up a 160 dollar motor instead.

Thanks,
DENnis

For that price with a matched price, yeah, should be great to learn on..

There was a guy in the onroad GT forum who converted his RB buggy to GT, and he made some videos with it - including that engine.. I think it should go pretty well..

A Werks B2 would be much better, but without pipe for the same price..

Well broke in the BX w/ 2097 pipe at about 1/2 gallon. Going to race it this weekend and see how it does.

Out in front of my house on the street so far compared to a B9 with a 2045 that has 5 gallons on it the BX seems a tad tamer on the bottom end but really screams at the top.

I run a serpent s811 4 shoe steel clutch with 7075 aluminium shoes. On the B9 I would run 2 with soft and 2 with medium springs. For extreme bottom end I would run all 4 mediums. So far with the BX combo I'm running 2 medium and 2 hards for the snap I'm looking for. Both engines running a 7mm venturi.

So 240 us dollars not bad but shipping would be killer I bet

Finally got's me some new pipes...

But honestly, I think I like the 053 on the Fire just fine... Would the 2058 really make that big a difference?

(On a side-note, for a 100 bucks, Werks could surely afford some better packaging ha ha....)

2058 breathes much better then the 053 will.............you should notice a substantial increase in RPM and power.....

RB Concepts World S7

Good afternoon. I was wondering if anyone out there knows where I can purchase either an old RB Cconcepts World S7 or know where I can purchase a new piston/sleeve for one. I have one and some how, the bottom skirt has broken off. The broken part of the piston scrapes the sleeve and I know if I run it like this, it will eventually nick the chrome.

IF anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
