Picked up a Matt Russell moded B11/2087.I have put about 1.5 lrs through it and started to lean on it a bit today. Running in a RC8T this thing is awsome. Plenty everywhere but more torque than agressive, 9.30 min still running an hour or 2 on the rich side compaired to 8.00-8.30 with an Alpha A852/0801. Motor does not have the bottom end of the alpha but it gets the power down a lot easier. Was unsure how it was going to go in a truggy but am very impressed with how it goes.

Anyone ever run the odonnell r2 pipe on a rb engine. Either c6 or the shark9?

I have never ran any of the odonnell pipes. If you already have the pipe your best bet is to try it, it's not going to hurt the engine. Heck you may find that you really like the power band!!!

Thats the TP pipe I did try and liked!! I have never ran a 2057 but I think it's an older pipe design. I know the 2058 works well but not sure how the 2057 compares to it. I would say between the 2045 and TP pipe you would be good to go!!

I have a 2058 pipe, I forgot that I bought one on amain when they were selling Nvision parts on sale,I took a pic of the 2 side by side, you can see the difference. Oh, and I picked up a fire 11 on eBay, had 2 tanks of fuel thru it, 150, I want to try it out. What size restrictor did you run?

I
Mostly race truggy, so it should be fun, how is the fuel mileage for that engine? About the same as a C6? We usually race at night time out here, its to hot in the day time. We used to run the 8 plug only way back when. |

LOL, thanks, is the 2045 the best for economy as well?
|
I do always get the best mileage with the 2045 and 192 header. Also if you have a carb from an old WS7 you used to run or an older C6 you may want to put that on the F11. The carb it has will work fine I just do not like having the idle screw on the front of the carb like the F11 came with.
|
Yes, I know the your talking about, I have picked up some new Nova carbs on eBay, peeps parting out new engines, its the newer style, with the idle screw, on top.
|
Anybody knows the factory needle setting for F11?

HSN 3.5. LSN 5

How is the new Fire compared to the Fire 11? Even if just on paper, should one expect more power from the newer version? The main thing stat-wise is just that the new version is a 7+2, the Fire 11 a 7+1...
New Fire: Competition racing engine 7 ports + 2 by pass Lightened conrod Turbo plug Turbo combustion chamber 14mm bi-turbo crankshaft (long stroke) 14mm rear bearing 9mm nylon carburetor with 9mm venturi included L2G cooling head Strengthened crankcase “black coated” Aluminum orange anodized wrist pin Dust protection caps Looks like the kit version here even comes with the bearing cover for behind the flywheel... |
