That engine is a WS7 so if you have a WS7 it should be very close to how that was tuned but may not be exact as the LSN's have slightly changed over the years as well. Once race tuned most of my engines end up close to flush on bottom and generally in from flush on the HSN. I am at high elevation tho so most will not run a HSN that lean. |

For both engines I picked up some hot Picco plugs. Was just looking at them though, and they are a good bit shorter than the RB plug that came in the Fire.... The most important part is the length of the threaded/tapered area. On the RB plug after the threads it is longer for sure but that stick up above the button, and long and the threads that go into the button are the same it should be fine. |
thank you very much for the info Chris, i was curious cuz i am a new driver to racing and some guys are saying the F11 will be too much. So my back up plan was to buy the piston and sleeve of the B11 and that way i could have a 5 port and 7 port..

Since we're on the subject....just got back from my 1st track visit this year. Started with the CRE C6 USA which was running spot on today and then bolted in the CRE Fire 11. Now the C6 is one of my favorites and the F11 was way more than i expected. It's an explosion out of corners. It's the 1st engine i own that actually needs some set screws put into the M2C flywheel, lmao. Probably a shorter manifold also. I was using a 9886/41021 setup. I revved it some when it warmed up and it almost jumped off the damn starter box. What a horse this one is.

I was going to get 2 f11, one buggy and one truggy when I was talked out of it because of the power it was supposed to have. I am glad I didn't now because it is almost too much for the truggy. This is one wicked little powerhouse. I am running 198/2045 pipe combo and not only does it have legs but the bottom end is enough to keep up with the e-truggies. |

What version of the Shark do you have? 9 or 10? As for pipes there are a number of pipes that should work well. I try to avoid any of the JP pipes myself as they never seem to provide very good mileage for me. The RB 2045, 2087 both work well. Any version of a 2058 pipe works well, as will the 2013. Many of the 9886 or 086 pipes work as well as the 9853, 053 pipes. Really depends on what you run it in and the powerband your looking for.

Need new engines...
Haven't raced in couple years... But used a WS7II modded by CEO in the buggy and a C6 in truggy. What would be the comparable engines to those now?

They just came out with all-new engines - the BX and the BX-R - the latter would be the new top-of-the-line C6 equivalent I guess..
For buggy the older B6 maybe? They're in the process of updating their whole line. They came out with the Fire 11 last year, and have updated it again for this year - the RB Fire. Maybe the most powerful in their lineup? But not all the goodies of the BX-R.. Here in Germany they have some special edition engines that are supposedly similar to the old WS7II, but they're not sold in the US afaik.. |
The fire is a very stout motor for the truggy. I have one modded by rick at rb mods and it has proven to be a very strong engine. Too much or a buggy, I tried lol. I am still running a ws9 in the buggy with a few of the ws7 you refer to on the shelf. As far as the bx and bxr, they are the ws7/9 with the difference of the r having a ceramic front bearing. They are the european made motors which is a plus over the previous motors they have put out.

I've got to warn you though, Clocked RB engines are known to put a big smile on your face, turn heads at the track and cause jaws to drop on people you don't even know. :lol: |
What venturi would be recommended for racing a Fire 11 in buggy? Guy on a German forum is asking - is getting 7:30 with a 9mm venturi and wants more run-time..
