It is very close to a C6 but it has been tamed down. The timing on the crank is less aggressive and there is a smaller exhaust port on the sleeve. Might be worth waiting for the BX or the BXR coming out soon unless your getting a sweet deal on the B11.

Couple of questions:
Sorry if these have been answered (probably have) in the 170+ pages but i have a couple of semi-noob questions.
I acquired a used RB WS7II in pretty good shape, Still has good pinch and only one minor dig in the cooling head. I thought this engine used turbo plugs but mine is standard. I currently only have one pipe and I am not sure what pipe it is, Definitely an OFNA JP2 or JP3 but I don't know how to tell the difference in the two. Engine runs good, seems a bit finicky to tune on the low end though. I believe the plug that's in it is an Odonnell 002 medium and it seems to load up if I let it idle for a minute, If I run it any leaner then it sputters out. Q1: What would be a good plug to use for this engine? Not worried about performance as much as I am reliability and ease of tuning. I amin Michigan so medium temps. Q2: Would a more low-midrange pipe work better for this engine instead of the JP? Thanks in advance, New to nitro so am still a bit :confused: Also forgot to mention that at the moment I am running 20%, Not sure if that is a high enough nitro content to keep this engine happy or not. |
I belive that RB just released a new way to connect the pipe to the header that does not require springs.
Does anyone have any information on this? Specifically will this be available in the motor combo packs? And when? |

I was able to see the BX-R run this week at my local track. That thng has a lot of bottom and runs nice at top speed. Savoya was practicing with it and that X-Ray was hooked up. He did have issues at first with flaming out, but once he got it tuned it ran good. I really can't wait for Nitro Challenge to see it run full out!!!

The BXR is unlike any offroad engine RB has ever released. RB's offroad engines have never come standard with ceramic bearings or putty in the crank. The Shark9 and C6USA are the only offroad engines to come with Tungsten weights in the crank, and this BXR has all 3. From what I have been told the engine is back to a C6 in many ways, but with all these upgrades. I would say the C6USA would be the closest to what this engine is. |
