The port number being the same does not make them similar in any way but port numbers. The WS9 is a 7 port engine, but it is a square stroke engine. The X11 and F11 are both long stroke engines. If he is looking for something with the same smooth power that would be the X11. The F11 is a very powerful engine and will not have the smooth power like a WS9 does, it will be a very abrupt and aggressive powerband.

ok, but i like a little more boton end with my old ws9, the f11 have more booton end, with WS9??, who engine have more power in botton end?

The X11 has more bottom end than the WS9. The F11 is going to have way more bottom end than the WS9. If it's for buggy I would pick the X11, if it's for truck the F11 would be better.

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the F 11 and the Rally 11?

They have the same partnumbers for everything (piston/sleeve/rod, crank, crankcase, bearings, carb, etc)... seems to be the same engine except for the head? :confused:

Chris and everybody who helped me get through my unstable engine problem on my B10! Thank you , the engine is sealed and new fuel and the engine is a monster !!!! No one on the track can keep up at full speed!! it goes like greased lightning !! ;)

They are basically the same engine. Looks like the F11 actually comes with the same head button the old C6USA had tho. They have the onroad crankshaft in them and that makes them a lot more aggressive. I used to run onroad cranks in my truggy engines to get the extra grunt I wanted.

Believe me, the ws9 is cloeser to the F11 seven port, than the X11 three port.It won't have the same top end.

On road cranks are timed for top end, not low end grunt.

ws9 smooth power great top end x10 smooth power good top end F11 brute power bottom to top its not about port its the characteristic of the engine. The ws9 never had brute power but had great top end and very smooth.It was made for 1/8 buggy not truggy same as the x10 made for buggy.The f11 was made for brute power.Even reno said he races the f11 in his truggy not buggy in the usa.

Well I have driven these engines so I know from experience with them. Yes the F11 will have more top end than the X11. The F11 also has a ton more bottom end than the WS9 or the X11. If all you want is killer top end RPM's then yes the F11 will be a close match to the WS9 in terms of top speed only. The F11 is not even going to be close to the smooth bottom end that you have with a WS9 tho and I know this from running the engines. The F11 or the Rally11 (same engine, different head) are very abrupt engines that feel much like an on off switch with instant power. Great power for a truggy but I found it very hard to drive in a buggy.

Just because an engine is a 3 port does not mean it will have less top speed versus a 7 port engine. Have you ever seen an OS Speed on the straight?? I also have a Shark9 with a Ceramic bearing in it.. the Shark9 is a X11 with a balanced crank and I added the ceramic bearing... That 3 port engine had more top end than any of my WS7's, WS7II's or WS9's ever had.


Have you ever tried running an Onroad crank in an offroad engine?? I see you say they are for top end? I ask because I have used onroad cranks in my offroad engines as recently as last year... I did this to get extra snap out of the engine for running it in truggy. Back to back tests proved that the onroad crank made more power from 1/8 throttle to full throttle.

I needed some info on these two motors from you the experts. Someone told me the insides of the Shark10 and the Buggy 11 are the same, someone else said they are not and no parts can be found for the shark. Whats the truth and your opinions.
